Used to love "JFK" until I found out just how much Stone made up and lied about!

UK TV did a look at the Kennedy killing and used "JFK" as the main source of the 'it was a conspiracy' argument, as it turns out most modern Americans get their full facts (ha ha) on the conspiracy FROM "JFK".

Hell, even the superb courtroom scene is a lie. The great 'magic bullet' sequence? Stone had the people sitting in the wrong places in the car! He literally changed the seating to make his 'magic bullet' sequence work!

In fact, when you put the occupants where they actually were in the car, it's a virtual straight line shot! No bouncing/turning around bullet at all!
what a con!

Oh. Well then case closed.

Oh. Well then case closed.
Well, thanks for that informative essay. I've got no leg to stand on now.

Actually if you took the time to look at the documents open to the public, that anyone can do, yes it is actually case closed. Just that most people don't. instead they watch "JFK".

Army record says Oswald was a bad to average shot accordig to "JFK"? No they don't! They say the opposite in fact.

And to literally lie to make a film work, when the film is meant to be about exposing lies? Yeah, that pretty much closes the case for me!

"JFK" lied about almost everything!

Stone wrongly states that the bullet which was examined was found to have no DNA on it and was undamaged despite going through 2 people. Big ass part of the film.

Because of this 'fact' that no DNA or damage was supposedly found on the bullet Stone has the real bullet (with the DNA) secretly replaced, by a sinister hand, for a false one that was also clean and undamaged.
But the bullet examined DID have DNA on it from both men and showed a great deal of damage.
Come on...What a disgrace!

Movies are powerful things, they are often the only source of info some people have about important historical events...and Stone and his chums blatantly lie in their 'lies exposing' film and thus millions of people think that's how things went down.
He's worse than those he attacks.

But hey. As Stone so often shouts out...who cares about the truth, man!

I remember watching that UK documentary. It was very in depth and well researched ,with computer simulations of the bullet trajectories, a profile of Oswald, alternative theories etc etc. It's probably the most comprehensive study of the assassination ever made. Just hope it's not disinformation, but from what was presented I seriously doubt that.

Is Hardware worth watching? I've heard somewhere it's a complete mess of a film?
Hell yeah!!! Hardware is an essential cult gem, with some of the best visuals you'll see this side of Blade Runner and Brazil. It's tightly scripted; not a mess at all. Imagine a cross between Donald Cammell's Demon Seed, and The Terminator with lashings of cyberpunk style. If you don't believe me ask Powdered Water; he's a fellow fan.

Naff vioce over, but this trailer should give you an idea
