Well, it also depends on watching preferences. I'd rather watch a new film that turns out a turd than rewatch a masterpiece.

True, and I'm sure that's played a part but I've not watched films regularly for the last 15 years. I started when I was 8, but when I found a film I liked, I watched it a lot. There's a few films not on my list that I've seens dozens of times as well as films I've seen mulitple times that I don't care for, just because of my sister.

As Mino said, it's just a difference in the way we watch films.

nice list, i would like to mention something about the thing, it s a great horror thriller, one of the best sci fi thrillers, it has great atmosphere, the prequel doesn t even come close in terms of atmosphere built in the film, the whole music score, the eriee music, all makes up for one of the best sci fi horrors ever made, thanks to jerry goldsmith at the helm of music score. john carpenter direction is superb.
