Has anyone heard this rumor? Whoa, Sylvester Stallone and Edgar Allen Poe in the same sentence? Hard to believe, lol.
And further, it is rumored Robert Downey, Jr. wants to play Poe:

The article is dated in April, but I've heard about this project for years. Stallone wrote the script and has wanted to make it for many years. Viggo Mortensen was in talks to play Poe, too, but I see Downey as a perfect fit.
I would love to see this project get off the ground. If Sherlock Holmes is successful, do you think it could help get this project off the ground? And do you think Stallone could even pen a good script for this subject?
