I am burdened with glorious purpose
I don't know how many of you knew of him, but I was a huge fan of Michael's in the 60s and 70s. I never understood why he seemed to disappear from movies.

Somebody did a bit of a tribute to his most famous film, They Shoot Horses, Don't They?

I always thought he was very underappreciated -- he played the Frankenstein monster in a version of the story that was much better than Branagh's version; and The Reincarnation of Peter Proud was one of those movies I saw as a kid and never forgot:

RIP Michael. I'm sorry that I didn't see more of you.

Bright light. Bright light. Uh oh.

He was excellent playing an army deserter in The Flim-Flam Man where George C. Scott took him under his wing and taught him about becoming an expert conman. He had some good romantic scenes with Sue Lyon in that underappreciated movie. He worked constantly through the 1970s but I basically lost track of him after Joshua Then and Now (1985), although he apparently did lots of TV work.

R.I.P.
