Ron Howard vs Oliver Stone

Stone, by far. But RH has done some stuff I really enjoyed.

Ron Howard is a bit sappy, but he has a number of movies I really like = Apollo 13, Rush (excellent movie... probably his best movie), Frost/Nixon, Backdraft, and of course... I'll always have a soft spot for Willow. I even enjoyed In The Heart of the Sea, I actually felt that was a really good.

Having said that, RH could never make something as good and gritty as Platoon, Talk Radio, or Natural Born Killers, so Stone wins.

Stone, no contest.

Stone would beat him to pulp. He looks pretty rugged to me.

Nixon (1995) alone puts Stone above Howard (who just makes films that are aight).
