Please help me remember the title of American (or British?) children's film, probably 80s, about a girl, whose mother is in a mental hospital, and she takes care of her little brother (named Liam) and sister. They are twins, at one point she tries to make pancakes with them and doesn't succeed. Her brother cries, she says to him "listen Liam, you are a brave cowboy, right?", but he continues to cry. Her father sees he can't take care of her. She is sent to live with her aunt, a boy named Alex falls in love with her and they kiss over a pool table in a basement. Her aunt sees her and sends her back to her father. Later she runs away from home, goes to her mother and brings her pancakes with syrup.
