I'm thinking it has died down...

Charlie Sheen just got 1 million new Twitter followers in 24 hours, a new record. I can only imagine how many different ways he's "monetizing" it. It's a shame, guerilla marketing is simply invading every single aspect of our online lives....

I know this is quite an old thread - but I couldn't resist from commenting. I didn't have a twitter until I formed my own movie review site several months ago and was able to attract 1000 followers in several weeks.

I still haven't gotten into it as a personal thing and I don't follow many people.

Though i'll always love twitter for the crazy capabilities it has. Interested in knowing who is talking about any keyword down to within a single foot? Ya.. you can do that with twitter. Although, i'd venture to bet that if more people knew how much information is available to the public, they'd be more hesitant to share on it. --in my opinion.

I checked it out as a novelty once when Charlie Sheen started tweeting. 5 minutes later, I got bored and haven't used it since. The only enjoyment I ever got from Twitter/Tweets, etc was this:

I personally think its pointless and a waste of time, so no.

I don't use Twitter, but I just found this thread and out of curiosity, I took a quick look at your personal Twitter account. The Starbucks cup pic from Oct 21st made me LOL.
