3. Greta Van Fleet-Highway Tune vs. The Jacksons - Blame It On The Boogie - I gotta say, I heard another Greta Flt Hwy tune and didnt know who the zeppelin knocks offs were until now. They're techincally good but they rip zep off so bad..vocals to a T and page's riffage to a t just about. I'm not into that, I guess.

4. Lao Che - Dym vs. Guns N Roses - Nightrain

5. In This Moment - Whore vs. Buckingham Nicks - Frozen Love - ewwwk...didnt like either but ill take heavy over this super soggy buckingham nicks tune

ROUND 1, PART 10

1. Eminem - Framed vs. Lee Michaels-Do You Know What I Mean?-Easy.

2. The Flaming Lips - The Castle vs. The Pretenders - My City Was Gone-Never cared much for The Pretenders.

3. Aereogramme - Living Backwards vs. Prince - Black Sweat-Was surprised by how much more I liked the first.

4. Christina Aguilera - Come On Over vs. Kim Carnes - Bette Davis Eyes-Easy

5. Radiohead - All I Need vs. 16 Horsepower - American Wheeze (live)-Easy

6. Journey - Separate Ways vs. Lucinda Williams - Essence-Love Journey but always made fun of that song.

7. All Saints - Pure Shores vs. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - You Tell Me-Closer than expected.

8. AC/DC - You Shook Me All Night Long vs. Duran Duran - Girls on Film-That was my first favorite AC/DC song, and combined with the fact that it's their most overplayed, it doesn't excite me anymore. Plus, I like the other song plenty.

ROUND 1, PART 11
(FINAL PART OF ROUND 1)

1. Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer vs. Placebo - Every Me And Every You-Never liked the first song.

2. Transvision Vamp - Baby I Don't Care vs. Pablo Cruise-Love Will Find a Way-If it were SilentVamp, then yes.

3. Greta Van Fleet-Highway Tune vs. The Jacksons - Blame It On The Boogie-Don't like any of The Jackos.

4. Lao Che - Dym vs. Guns N Roses - Nightrain-Bottoms up!

5. In This Moment - Whore vs. Buckingham Nicks - Frozen Love-There's something I really liked about the first song that I can't quite put my finger on.

6. Three Dog Night - Shambala vs. Policy of Three - Nine Years Old-Pretty much love anything 3 Dog.

7. Deerhoof - Chandelier Searchlight vs. M83 - Time Wind-Didn't hate the first but I don't know why I'd listen to it.

8. Jethro Tull-Locomotive Breath vs. Jon Secada - Just Another Day-My favorite from the mighty Tull.

9. Kiss - Psycho Circus vs. Gabriella Cilmi - Sweet About Me-Voted against Kiss the last time and now I get to make up for it.

10. Happy Mondays - Step On vs. 27 - No Water vs. Eddie Noack - Psycho-The first song was a close runner up.

ROUND 1, PART 10

1. Eminem - Framed vs. Lee Michaels- Do You Know What I Mean?
(God damn, that Eminem song was annoying as f**k. The other song could've just been someone making fart noises with their armpit and it still would've won my vote.)

2. The Flaming Lips - The Castle vs. The Pretenders - My City Was Gone
(Hate to vote against either one, as I really like both songs.)

3. Aereogramme - Living Backwards vs. Prince - Black Sweat
(That first song is a real mood killer, but I liked it. Love Prince, but "Black Sweat" is pretty mediocre.)

4. Christina Aguilera - Come On Over vs. Kim Carnes - Bette Davis Eyes
(Aguilera has a great voice, but she's rarely ever used it to make music I enjoy. I liked the second song even before I knew who Bette Davis was.)

5. Radiohead - All I Need vs. 16 Horsepower - American Wheeze (live)
(Not a fan of either song.)

6. Journey - Separate Ways vs. Lucinda Williams - Essence
(Lucinda probably doesn't stand much of a chance here, but I love her boozy voice and songwriting skills.)

7. All Saints - Pure Shores vs. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - You Tell Me
(Dime-a-dozen girl group vs. music legend.)

8. AC/DC - You Shook Me All Night Long vs. Duran Duran - Girls on Film
(I've heard "You Shook Me All Night Long" approximately a million times before . . . and I wouldn't mind hearing it a million times more. Never been into Duran Duran.)

ROUND 1, PART 11

1. Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer vs. Placebo - Every Me And Every You
I know I said I don't care for Peter Gabriel, but I do like this particular song a lot.

2. Transvision Vamp - Baby I Don't Care vs. Pablo Cruise-Love Will Find a Way

3. Greta Van Fleet-Highway Tune vs. The Jacksons - Blame It On The Boogie

4. Lao Che - Dym vs. Guns N Roses - Nightrain
I like GNR, but that song's just not doing it for me.

5. In This Moment - Whore vs. Buckingham Nicks - Frozen Love
I don't like "Whore" but I'm tempted to vote for it anyway. I'm only voting this way on account of the guitar work, because f*** Stevie Nicks and the rest of Fleetwood Mac.

6. Three Dog Night - Shambala vs. Policy of Three - Nine Years Old
What can I say? I'm a creature of habit and I love me some classic rock.

7. Deerhoof - Chandelier Searchlight vs. M83 - Time Wind

8. Jethro Tull-Locomotive Breath vs. Jon Secada - Just Another Day
I actually like both, but I'm sticking with the classic rock.

9. Kiss - Psycho Circus vs. Gabriella Cilmi - Sweet About Me

10. Happy Mondays - Step On vs. 27 - No Water vs. Eddie Noack - Psycho

ROUND 1, PART 10

1. Eminem - Framed vs. Lee Michaels-Do You Know What I Mean?
There was a time when I enjoyed Eminem but not lately and not his recent stuff

2. The Flaming Lips - The Castle vs. The Pretenders - My City Was Gone

3. Aereogramme - Living Backwards vs. Prince - Black Sweat

4. Christina Aguilera - Come On Over vs. Kim Carnes - Bette Davis Eyes
Come on over, come over baby

5. Radiohead - All I Need vs. 16 Horsepower - American Wheeze (live)

6. Journey - Separate Ways vs. Lucinda Williams - Essence
I loved Journey when I was 19 and hammered at the bar, how much has really changed? Barely enough I guess

7.
All Saints - Pure Shores vs. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - You Tell Me

8. AC/DC - You Shook Me All Night Long vs. Duran Duran - Girls on Film

ROUND 1, PART 11

1. Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer vs. Placebo - Every Me And Every You
Took the first song a minute to become listenable, but the second one is too nasal

2. Transvision Vamp - Baby I Don't Care vs. Pablo Cruise-Love Will Find a Way
First one lit it up in the first 20 seconds and then just crashed next to the second

3. Greta Van Fleet-Highway Tune vs. The Jacksons - Blame It On The Boogie

4. Lao Che - Dym vs. Guns N Roses - Nightrain

5. In This Moment - Whore vs. Buckingham Nicks - Frozen Love

6. Three Dog Night - Shambala vs. Policy of Three - Nine Years Old

7. Deerhoof - Chandelier Searchlight vs. M83 - Time Wind
Fun 80s band I found myself in the last year or so, but not my song

8. Jethro Tull-Locomotive Breath vs. Jon Secada - Just Another Day

9. Kiss - Psycho Circus vs. Gabriella Cilmi - Sweet About Me

10. Happy Mondays - Step On vs. 27 - No Water vs. Eddie Noack - Psycho
That breath of fresh air when you finish the first round

ROUND 1, PART 11

1. Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer vs. Placebo - Every Me And Every You
(Never cared for "Sledgehammer," so the wimpy rock song gets my vote.)

2. Transvision Vamp - Baby I Don't Care vs. Pablo Cruise-Love Will Find a Way
(I really dig the energy and spunkiness of "Baby I Don't Care." I expected a lot more from the second song after reading the comments.)

3. Greta Van Fleet-Highway Tune vs. The Jacksons - Blame It On The Boogie
(That first song was a huge surprise. Never heard of Greta Van Fleet. I'm shocked to see that cricket nominated them, since I didn't think he knew any music from this century. They look like kids, but obviously they grew up listening to the right stuff. It's eerie how much the singer sounds like Robert Plant. I'll definitely be listening to more of their stuff. If they just ape Led Zeppelin in every song without having an identity of their own, their sound will get old pretty fast, but as of right now I'm impressed. I love "Blame It on the Boogie," too, so this is a difficult match-up.)

4. Lao Che - Dym vs. Guns N Roses - Nightrain
(Nothing against "Dym," which was pretty solid with all its transitions, but it's impossible for me to ever vote against my favorite band, especially a song that I think is one of their most underrated.)

5. In This Moment - Whore vs. Buckingham Nicks - Frozen Love
("Frozen Love" is okay, but I was starting to get bored with it well before the 7-minute mark. I love "Whore." Too much metal sacrifices melody, so I like how dark and heavy this song is while still having a bit of a pop undercurrent.)

6. Three Dog Night - Shambala vs. Policy of Three - Nine Years Old
(Even though I listen to a ton of classic rock, I've never really gotten into Three Dog Night. "Shambala" is a cool song, though. "Nine Years Old" is way too emo for me.)

7. Deerhoof - Chandelier Searchlight vs. M83 - Time Wind
(Deerhoof is a great name for a band, but that song was painful. I enjoyed the second song.)

8. Jethro Tull-Locomotive Breath vs. Jon Secada - Just Another Day
(Love "Locomotive Breath." The second song is okay.)

9. Kiss - Psycho Circus vs. Gabriella Cilmi - Sweet About Me
(Despite wearing Kiss boxers at the moment, I nearly voted the other way.)

10. Happy Mondays - Step On vs. 27 - No Water vs. Eddie Noack - Psycho
(jiraffejustin introduced me to "Psycho" awhile back and I immediately fell in love with it. One of the darkest country songs I've heard.)

ROUND 1, PART 10

1. Eminem - Framed vs. Lee Michaels-Do You Know What I Mean?
2. The Flaming Lips - The Castle vs. The Pretenders - My City Was Gone
3. Aereogramme - Living Backwards vs. Prince - Black Sweat
4. Christina Aguilera - Come On Over vs. Kim Carnes - Bette Davis Eyes
5. Radiohead - All I Need vs. 16 Horsepower - American Wheeze (live)
6. Journey - Separate Ways vs. Lucinda Williams - Essence

Placebo - Every Me And Every You
2. Transvision Vamp - Baby I Don't Care vs. Pablo Cruise-Love Will Find a Way
3. Greta Van Fleet-Highway Tune vs. The Jacksons - Blame It On The Boogie
4. Lao Che - Dym vs. Guns N Roses - Nightrain
5. In This Moment - Whore vs. Buckingham Nicks - Frozen Love
6. Three Dog Night - Shambala vs. Policy of Three - Nine Years Old
7. Deerhoof - Chandelier Searchlight vs. M83 - Time Wind
8. Jethro Tull-Locomotive Breath vs. Jon Secada - Just Another Day
9. Kiss - Psycho Circus vs. Gabriella Cilmi - Sweet About Me
10. Happy Mondays - Step On vs. 27 - No Water vs. Eddie Noack - Psycho

ROUND 1, PART 11

1. Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer vs. Placebo - Every Me And Every You
Peter's music might have been weird when he fronted Genesis, but his solo stuff is great. I love that song

2. Transvision Vamp - Baby I Don't Care vs. Pablo Cruise-Love Will Find a Way
Never heard the first one even though it's from the 80's. The second is just a better song

3. Greta Van Fleet-Highway Tune vs. The Jacksons - Blame It On The Boogie
Michael and his brothers made great music together

4. Lao Che - Dym vs. Guns N Roses - Nightrain
Nightrain is one of GnR's best songs

5. In This Moment - Whore vs. Buckingham Nicks - Frozen Love
Pre-Fleetwood Mac Lindsay and Stevie were really good. Stevie looks hot

6. Three Dog Night - Shambala vs. Policy of Three - Nine Years Old
Both are okay

7. Deerhoof - Chandelier Searchlight vs. M83 - Time Wind
The second sounded cool

8. Jethro Tull-Locomotive Breath vs. Jon Secada - Just Another Day
That second one takes me back to the early 90's. Great times!

9. Kiss - Psycho Circus vs. Gabriella Cilmi - Sweet About Me
Gabriella is kinda hot...and sweet

10. Happy Mondays - Step On vs. 27 - No Water vs. Eddie Noack - Psycho
None of these songs appealed to me. The first is passable

But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!” ~ Rocky Balboa

I'm sure 10,000 news outlets already thought of this joke (or maybe not?)

ROUND 1, PART 9

1. Shannon - Let the Music Play vs. Dr. Alban - It's My Life - I think familiarity takes this one through. I've always liked it though.

2. Kula Shaker - Hush vs. Billy Squier - In The Dark - I like the KS version of Hush (it's my nom so that's pretty obvious) but even on a first listen I prefer this.

3. Georgia Satellites - Keep Your Hands to Yourself vs. St. Vincent - Hang On Me - If we must have music like this, then that's not a bad example. However, it ain't winning with me here.

4. Chris Norman & Suzi Quatro-Stumblin' In vs. Genesis - Watcher of the Skies - Better than the wittering music of Genesis.

5. Animotion - Obsession vs. Róisín Murphy - Let Me Know - I'm writing this as I start the second one because there's almost no chance of it beating Obsession even if I really like it. Obsession is one of my favourite 80's tracks. EDIT: it's just finished and I like it quite a bit. Shame it's up against a monster in my eyes.

6. Go West - Call Me vs. Goldfrapp - Everything is Never Enough - I quite like Go West, lots of nostalgia there for me, but I'm going the other way on this one.

7. Hey - Blysk vs. The Beatles - Don't Let Me Down - My heart always sinks when I see The Beatles on these things. I'm not a big fan and they always do well and steamroll good songs late into the tournament. However, I don't mind this one and I couldn't for the life of me remember what the other sounded like after it finished, so I suppose I'd better be part of the problem.

8. Black Sabbath - Sabbra Cadabra vs. Nelly ft. Kelly Rowland - Dilemma - Was this actually a tough choice for anyone? Even those who voted the other way probably did so without hesitation.

Wouldn't it have been better to let people know you were planning on moving on three rounds? Especially with the tie breaks? Those of us who've yet to vote could've done that.
