OH Gaawd!! ISLAND OF DR. MOREAU has to be on the top of the Least Favorite Film list, along with CABLE GUY. Not funny in the least. And no, not even the porno pictionary part.

ACTOR: Nicolas Cage. Indubitably. (And don't tell me he was awesome in LEAVING LAS VEGAS. Elisabeth Shue carried that thing, and all he did was ruin the movie for me. Freaking Academy Award winner, my asstabular!)

ACTRESS: Tough one. Kirsten Dunst. She is in some decent movies, granted. But, I just hate her. I cannot stand her sorority girl quality, that cheerleader-type thing she does waaaay to well.

FPJ is just a pretty boy; as far as talent goes...yeah right. As soon as he gets to old to play a twentysomething,he's history. The same goes for all the rest of em' too.And just to make my weekend brighter,I heard Briteny Spears is going to try her hand at acting.I'll have to see her before I totally go ape****,but I'm not holding my breath.

Wow Dillane, Nicolas Cage a bad actor? Controversial! Or is it? After superb performances in Raising Arizona, Peggy Sue Got Married, Red Rock West and Wild at Heart, he rightly earn't a reputation as an actor of immense anarchic energy on screen. in recent years his films have proved to be commercially successful and have elevated him into the A-list, but the roles are no good (City of Angels, Snake Eyes, 8mm) and the performances lazy and 2D - not since Face/Off have we seen anything approaching Cages best work. Hopefully Windtalkers will see him back on form, keep your fingers crossed.

I have to agree,Nick Cage is no where near my ****list.Kirsten Dunst is great too.I liked her ever scince Interview With a Vampire. She turned out a killer performance in the Virgin Suicides.Cage is like, wonderfull, sexy too.Absolutely captavating to watch...those eyes.

I like Kirsten Dunst, too, but that's probably because I want to sleep with her more than because of her acting skills (though I think she's perfectly okay in the acting department).

Plus, she was in a movie with Bruce Willis, and that always puts people on a higher plane in my book (well, not really, but she was in a movie that also had Bruce Willis in it).

Now With Moveable Parts
I have some more actors/actresses that suck. What do you think about these:
-Chris Tucker
-Jessica Beal(of 7th Heaven fame)
-Lauren Holly
-Renee Russo
-Val Kilmer
What do think?Do they suck or what?

In Soviet America, you sue MPAA!
I liked Tucker in the Fifth Element. I do think Val Kilmer isn't a very good actor. But Jessica Biel is just really, really, really perty!!

I must call foul play on this post...

He's one of the best actors now working. His performances in Raising Arizona, Las Vegas, The Rock, and Bringing Out the Dead show the full measure of his talent. He's incredible. And what about eating a cockroach in Vampire's Kiss? That's devotion to your craft. His performance in Las Vegas is one for the time capsules - sheer power. He's brilliant.

Granted, a fair amount of his more recent roles have been sub-standard, namely 8mm, Con Air, The Family Man, Captain Corellis Mandolin, etc. I can see how one would get that "duh - I am an ACTor...DUDE" impression of him.

Hey sades, Rene Russo? I think she's wonderful. Same with Val Kilmer, who deserved the oscar for his Doc Holliday in Tombstone. He's brilliant in that role.

Nobody ever mentions Nick Cage in Moonstruck in which he was also grrrreat. (By not gagging when he kissed Cher who was like three decades older than he was then! Sh'e looked okzy but it must have been like snuggling your grandma!)And Rene Russo looked pretty good in that undemanding Thomas Crown . . . tho maybe not good enough for Brosnan who is such a PEACH! (MMm)

Moving right along, I used to not be able to stand whatzizname who was in Perfect Storm . . . until I saw o brother wherearthou, which was tops. And I used to hate George Hamilton until he started doing comedy, and I used to hate Bruce willis until he grew up to SF, so the moral of that is never say never because actors grow and tastes change.

But NOTHING is worse than Jim Carey's movies! (Except maybe the Mask, which was bad but not as bad. See?)

Love,

Jozie

-Okay Steve N.,I,m gonna challenge you here.I really think people get confused with bad actors in good movies.Renee Russo was in a few movies that I saw,but let's take Get Shorty for example;now the movie was great, but was she really that good?could another actress play that role and do just as good?Try analyzing performances this way.See,try subsituting another actress in Cameron Diaz's role in There's Something About Mary. You can't.She owned that role.Russo owns nothing. She's forgettable.

Well DUH -- when some really good girl-parts appear. They are mostly cereal boxes and nobody samples the cereal!
(Altho you're right that I can't really see Russo in either part of Difference between cats & dogs, for eg)

Love,
Jozie

as far as actresses go, i think what i find likeable and attractive is someone i think i could relate to and is cute at the same time. somebody who is quirky and funny and good looking is way more preferable than somebody who has "star power" and is knockout gorgeous when they strike me as bitchy. therefore, one of my least favorite actresses is gwenyth paltrow. don't get me wrong, she is good looking and talented, which is probably why she gets so many good roles, but every time i've seen her do an interview (she's done a lot, she's a camera hog) she acts like she's such an artist and so professional and crap. she comes off as such a rich, stuck up snob, i can't take her. ugh. somebody like joey lauren adams is so cute and funny by comparison. as for actors, i HATE HATE HATE teen actors that are overpraised for doing almost nothing. leonardo decaprio should not be getting as much praise as he does. some, yes, but they go way overboard. it has nothing to do with jealousy or insecurity or my part, i just bleieve in credit where credit is due. i agree with people saying freddie prinze junior is irritating, too. jesus, how many crap movies can you make before your career is over?

Now With Moveable Parts
Point well put BMan-But I have to disagree at some point right?okay then...Gwen Paltow is a talented actress. You can't stem from Blythe Danner, and not be.That's not why she's good though...ask me why sometime.

well, yeah, she is talented as an actress, but she's one of my least favorites just because she doesn't strike me as being very likeable. ok, i'll ask you sometime...

MOVIE: Highlander II: The Quickening (1991)
Not only is it the worst sequel ever made (and it is), it's just plain one of the worst movies.

ACTOR: Adam Sandler
A totally unfunny one-trick pony (a pony that should be taken out back and shot A.S.A.P.).

ACTRESS: Jennifer Love Hewitt
Or J-Lo-He, as the kids must call her. Totally devoid of any talent. I don't even think she's particularly attrictive, but maybe she's just not my type. Anyway, she's a horrible actress, that's for sure.

Her knockers (sorry girls, I can be a terrible mysoginist replace with breasts or boobs), are her talent, she doesn't seem to know it, but she is being constantly exploited. Funny voice too, very naselly.

I ain't gettin' in no fryer!
I have to agree ggfletch. She has no talent. Her only true talent MIGHT have been party of five, but never watched it. She tried singing(desperate are we?), thought acting was her strong suit, but maybe she should go apply at Victoria's Secret(there ya go Brodie), whatever the cost I'm glad she's pretty much out of the spotlight.

I would have to say another least favorite actress would be Drew Barrymore. She has never really been that great of an actress. I don't like her...and well marrying Tom Green, well i rest my case.

Least favorite actor would have to be well all of the Baldwin brothers. They really have a passion for doing cheesy movies. Alec is finally coming around again and doing some fairly good movies.
