I didn't understand the ending to Uncut Gems (2019)

So in the ending to the movie,

WARNING: "SPOILERS" spoilers below
Why did the guy Julia met at the place where place bids bring the money out to her in the car? The money she had won? Wouldn't she rather bring it out herself so no one steals it? Why did she trust this guy to bring it out?

WARNING: spoilers below
She knew there were already guys in the casino looking for her, so they were waiting around the cashier to try and recognize her taking out a massive amount of money. Seeing this guy take it out of the cashier would be of no concern to them since they would assume its his money made from his own bets and not hers.

One would assume she tipped him some money to do it for her, but he may have just liked having her company and associating with her (movie leads us to believe that a bit)

Okay thanks, that makes sense. I have another plot question.

WARNING: "SPOILER" spoilers below
Why did Arno stop the bet from going through? If the bet went through, then he would have got his money back most likely. So why did he stop it? Also, how was he able to stop it, since normally you can't just stop bets from going through, just because you don't like someone?

He stopped the bet because it was made with “his money”. Money he was owed. Since Sandler had a history of losing bets, he stopped it (which I’m also not sure how that’s possible, so I can’t answer that part)

Sorry if I'm rude but I'm right
I didn't understand the ending to Uncut Gems (2019)
Color me shocked.

But if he won the bet, those people he owed would get their money back. So was Arno not seeing the forest for the trees?

I think he didn’t want to take that chance. He had a history of losing, and there was no guarantee that was due to change. Most likely he stopped the bet and pocketed the money as it was owed to him anyways. (If it works that way, that is. I’m not sure)
Basically Arno took the sure thing, which was money in hand, rather then allow the chance he’d lose it.
This of course speculative, as it relies on whether he pocketed the money used for the bet to begin with or not.

Oh okay, I don't think it works that way though, where you can stop a bet and pocket the money though. If it does, I could just go down to a place like that myself, and say I need you to stop a bet a cause the money is owed to me. They wouldn't stop it and give it to me though. I would have no power to control that, I don't think, unless I am wrong.

Right, which is why I mentioned I’m not sure if he did. Of course, I didn’t think he could just stop the bet to begin with, regardless if it’s his money or not. The money was never accounted for after the bet was stopped, so it’s the only conclusion that fits.
Maybe because he was a bookie, he had the power to stop it? Either way, good movie.

Yeah it was good.

It's not hard to imagine his two enforcers threatening the bookie to stop the bet.

Pretty pointless film.
As pointless as this post? (no context?)

We've gone on holiday by mistake
I think they did that to torture the audience some more, oh look Julia has been conned out of the money, oh wait no she hasn't.

The thing that boggled my mind is why he didn't buzz the guys out of the store at the end instead of back in the store.

That was my thinking, but at the same time he's extremely happy with the results of his bet. So he probably thinks they are happy too because they get their money and maybe a bit more for their troubles...

Exactly. I had it that Howard had nothing to worry about now. If anything he was probably relieved to be able to pay them back

Haha,

Well I was going to write a review but time has not allowed it.

My problems with the film are:

Sandler's performance is so overrated, he is simply the same loud, vulgar character he has played for 20+ years

The plot makes little sense and ultimately ends up going nowhere

The safdies obviously have a morality play in mind but when none of the characters have any morals, who are we rooting for?

The ending made no sense regarding the characters involved, why would they shoot him, there was never any indication they were anything but hired goons by Arnos and Arnos was going to get his money back. Also no idea or motivation for Julia to be with a guy like Howie...so pointless
