Good draft, and good luck!

The trick is not minding
I’m not sure how I feel about my team yet. A lot of sleeper picks. Some really good pitching.
I waited too long on 1b and 3b.
Can’t wait til the season starts.

Decided to name my team after these videos I post from "Baseball Doesnt Exist".
The kids a baseball genius and is a complete natural narrating them. Wish we could get him in our league.

The trick is not minding
24 hours after the draft they announce Francisco Alvarez is out 6-8 weeks. I barely took him over another catcher, too.
It begins….you needed to churn that waiver wire anyways.

So I got a first round draft pick im willing to move for a power hitter.
Anyone wanting Fernando Tatis Im open to offers, and shopping him.

Looks like Gerrit Cole is done for!

Welcome to Fantasy Baseball. Keep coming back. It hurts.

My thought process during the draft (yes I think)

Round 1 and 2
I missed because i thought the 15 minute lobby wait started at 1:30. Yahoo gave me Fernando Tatis and Francisco Lindor. I like Lindor.
If I made the first 2 rounds was gonna grab Kyle Schwarber and Ketel Marte. My strategy was to go all-out on offense for 10 rounds and start on my pitching in the 11th round. Slugger league, Targetting power every round.

Round 3
Marcel Ozuna for said reason. Was hoping to get Rookertoo in the 4th but Yoda snatched him even before Ozuna.

Round 4
So I went with Teoscar Hernandez instead.

Rd 5
Min 3B Royce Lewis. Willing to take a chance he will stay heathy because his metrics are amazing when playing. Normally would have grabbed Junior Caminero, but felt Lewis is already at level everyone hopes Junior will be.

Rd 6
Matt McClain.
Again, injury risk, but explosive when playing.

Rd 7 & 8
Mike Trout & Christian Yelich
Would have taken Willson Contreras and Triston Casas in 7 and 8, but they just dont have the upside. Please understand, if/when one of these fragile masterpieces get hurt, even out for season, I get to work the block and wire which is hella fun.

Rd 9 & 10
So I had to settle with Houstons catcher Diaz who is servicable, and Paredes who may flourish in Houston. Sean wont trade me Willson. Seans mean.

Rd 11 & 12
Nabbed Robbie Ray and Jarred Jones for their Ks over ip

Rd 13 & 14
Grabbed Seth Lugo and Ronel Blanco out of senitmentality having them last year. Blanco levels out to a K an ip, Lugo less than, but Lugos era and whip will hopefully offset some hiccups from my flamethrowers

Rd 15 & 16
Kenley Jansen and Chris Martin
I should have grabbed Finnegan instead of Martin since hes locked in as closer. Martin isnt nor is Kirby Yates for LAD who was available. Dodgers have a murderers row in their bullpen, who knows who will get the 9th for them?

Rd 17 & 18
Taj Bradley and Clay Holmes
These are a couple of the flamethrowers I was talking about. Holmes going from Yankee closer to Mets starting pitcher might play out like Michael King did last year. This time ill try and be patient.

Rd 19
AJ Puk. Might end up with closing duties if their current falters.

Rd 20
Ben Joyce. Might become closer if Jansen falters, or age has finally caught up.

Rd 21 & 22
Decided to go with Hunter Gaddis and JoJo Romero for Holds. Both got over 30 last year.

Last 2 rounds were a wash, i already dropped them.

Are you going to do that thing where you trade half your team away before the season starts?
No Mike thats the All-Star Break

I still have difficulty believing that Lars Nootbar is in fact a human being and not a candy bar

X-Rays negative, which I think was probably expected. It really is hard to get nailed on muscle (particularly as a professional athlete) and get really hurt, at least compared to bones and joints and stuff.
