I haven't seen House Of Games, but it does intrigue me, having Joe Mantenga, who I really like as an actor.
I had a hard time deciding which should be #1. House of Games was pretty damned good; can't recommend it highly enough. It's available through the Criterion Collection, and MGM released in on DVD a few years back. Ebert, whilst giving it 4/4, called it his favorite Mamet film, and he usually likes Mamet's films. My mind is still blown at how good this film was; I was expecting another run of the mill Casino-type movie - little did I know. . .

I'm pretty sure that both Siskel and Ebert gave House of Games their number one film of the year spot, but heck, they were from Chicago.
