I just signed up to see something (that I already saw) and still have 29 days left, so if someone has a recommendation, I'd be interested. Thanks!

I just got an an Amazon Prime free trial cuz I wanted to watch The Night Manager with Hugh Laurie and Tom Hiddleston. It was a great six-part series, and Im very impressed with the lineup Amazon Prime has and all the different programming. It seems a cut above Netflix and what they have to offer.

Currently I'm watching the 3 part series of Agatha Christies "The ABC Murders" with John Malkovich, and it's even better.

I'll be subscribing to Prime.

I believe The Expanse is on Prime. If you're into Sci-Fi drama, this may be one of the greatest shows I've seen. I mean neck and neck with Battlestar Gallactica (reboot), if not passing it. I couldn't get into it the first attempt. It was slow to build. But the second time I tried I couldn't put it down.

I watched like 10 or 15 minutes of The Expanse and it's soooo sci-fi, I've found I enjoy most sci-fi when it's just a coat of paint and not like the complete product. I hope that makes sense. Star Trek and Star Wars are exceptions, Star Wars is more like Fantasy Sci-Fi. The Expanse does seem like a great production though and I'll probably give it another shot later on.

Co-sign!

Yeah, pretty decent. I'm not sure if it quite strikes the right tone but it's pretty good. If you watch the first 20 minutes of the first episode of The Boys, at least, you'll probably know if you should continue.

The trick is not minding
Amazon prime has a great selection of films, better then Netflix. A much more varied selection of older films. I’ve had it for over a year now and stream from it almost exclusively now.

I just finished Agatha Christie's Ordeal by Innocence on Amazon Prime with Bill Nighey and Harry Treadaway, and it was as good as The ABC Murders.

Trying to decide next between Jack Ryan, Vikings, The Man in the High Castle, Fleabag, Sneaky Pete, or Goliath.

I should try and break the binge viewing pattern and watch an episode of each. That's old school, and I dont know if I've the discipline to do it lol!

You ready? You look ready.
The Expanse
The Expanse

And did I mention The Expanse?

Seriously, even if you hate sci-fi you need to watch it.

I would also suggest The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel if you like to laugh.

Yeah, maybe take in 1-2 of each then decide. I enjoyed Vikings for 3 seasons I think. I was actually impressed. Slightly less epic than Game of Thrones, but over all I enjoyed it more I think.

A lot of people seem to like Jack Ryan. I watched both seasons but I could take it or leave it. It was weird watching Jim Halpert in that role. Too, John Krasinski has maybe 3 acting emotions from what I can see. Others love it though, so definitely check it out.

I'd be curious what you end up choosing and your thoughts when you get to them all

Thanks for the tip re Ordeal By Innocence. Bill Nighy is one of my favorites.

Overall The Man in the High Castle is very well done, plus if you get hooked, there are 40 episodes!

Whoops. Turns out I already watched Ordeal By Innocence last year. It's good Christie. It's the kind of thing that the Brits do very well.

Past Due Notice: date of original post 9-22-17

Matt no longer has free Amazon Prime... he only had a 1 month free trail back in 2017.
ROFL
I didn't even notice the OP post date! But, to my (our?) defense TONGO is only a few days old with his follow-up

I am blushing though.... gosh.

Maybe in gorilla years it's only been a couple days since the first post.

I just did a search to see if there were already any Amazon Prime threads made before making one.
