MEN OF HONOR
Starring: Robert De Niro, Cuba Gooding Jr., Charlize Theron

Men of Honor is based on the inspiring true story of the real
life Navy diver Carl Brashear. Brashear (played by Cuba Gooding
Jr.) delivers his struggles as a black man in a white navy. He
was told that as a black man in the services, he had but three
choices; be a cook, be a valet for his commanding officers, or
quit. However, come hell or high water Brashear was going to
become the first African-American navy diver. Billy Sunday
(played by Robert De Niro) is a Navy Master Chief, who tries to
do everything in his power to make Brashear's life a living hell.

Men of Honor is an excellent story of the real life racism that
African-Americans had to face in the 50's and 60's. It is
definitely one of the best films I have seen in a while. A heart
felt true life story that awakens your eyes and heart to the
struggles of racism and physical impairment in our society. A
must see film for the good at heart.

Didn't see it.
Thanks for the review. I've really wanted to see this, but I haven't been able to go to a movie in weeks.

Actually, MC Sunday was not doing everything in his power to make Brashear's life a living hell... he was carrying out specific orders.

Anyway,
This was a terrific movie about loyalty, courage, determination, and most importantly, honor.

This is on my personal top 10 list of movies this year.
