Movie Theme of the Week!

Thursday Next's Avatar
I never could get the hang of Thursdays.
Got mine. Now I really will have to see this film, no excuses...

I was tempted to go with this from the BBC4 tv film Surrealissimo: The Trial of Salvador Dali about Dali and the surrealist movement, starring Stephen Fry and Ewen Bremner, but weird as it is I wasn't sure it counted as a surreal film itself...

Kenny, don't paint your sister.
Apparently, I haven't seen a lot of surreal movies. I saw Twelve Monkeys listed on the thread, so I think I'll go with that for now

Will your system be alright, when you dream of home tonight?
First thing to pop to my mind.

As usual, I'm in. This one's from Donnie Darko. Whether or not it's ultimately explainable, it's also very surreal, especially the first time you watch it and don't have a clue what's going on.

Yeah, I still want to see Twelve Monkeys.

I own the one I'm using, and it's remake. I'll make something better from them when I get home later tonight. This one is a tad . . . neon!

I am half agony, half hope.
I'm using our old friend, Death, from The Seventh Seal.

Been a while since I watched it but I think Mirrormask fits into the surreal category...

The Adventure Starts Here!
Nice choice Zedlen!

This is from Inland Empire directed by David Lynch. I haven't seen it but I find this picture very intriguing.
Hey, nothing says "surreal" like David Lynch.
