What was the last DVD you bought and why?
I ordered Sealab 2021 Season 1 because I have Season 2 and realized the style would be lost on me if I don't watch the first season first, so I decided to get the first season before delving into the series. It'll get here in a week or two.
Season 1 showed up a few days ago so I've been watching Sealab 2021 since yesterday. The show is hilarious.

It was Cronenberg’s Crash. I found it in thrift shop. I haven’t seen it yet because I’m having trouble with my DVD player.

Found it in almost-new condition at my local public library for $1.00

I'd seen it a couple of times prior to buying it and have only rewatched it once since purchasing (not big into war films), but it's Kubrick and it was in great condition and it was a buck, so....

Because you can order crazy movies from Amazon. I haven't seen these in a long time.

I may order the box set of Thierry Zéno's work next.

A film collection that represents the very very best of cinema needs one film that represents the complete opposite, and Samurai Cop is the epitome of bad film-making.
There are lots of bad films to choose from, but this one is probably the most entertainingly bad film. Literally everything they could have done wrong, they did it in Samurai Cop.
It's a trash masterpiece.

I picked up two of Jackie Chan's latest films, "A Legend" and "Panda Plan" from Well Go USA, I bought "An American Werewolf in London" and "Misery" as well as getting the latest Collector's Edition Blu-Rays from Visual Vengeance, the 1984 martial arts oddity "Furious" and the 1996 mindless fun cult film "Dinosaur Valley Girls". I also got the "Magical Edition" DVD of "Xanadu".
I'll buy the DVD when the VHS gets here; the last movie I purchased was Graham Chapman's Odd Job. Technically it's only available on VHS, and our VCR is broken and I don't have the means to repair nor replace it, so I had an idea; get it converted to DVD. I did some digging and inquiring, and found sites that can convert the VHS for me into a DVD that's cheaper than the $150 for a VCR, so I'll do that. Each site I've asked, and I did not assume with any site, and I made sure to email three different ones, said it shouldn't be a copyright issue since it's one transfer for purely private use that I will make $0 off ever, so I should be okay.
Addendum; I ordered the transfer and have the packaging ready for tomorrow when the VHS gets here to send the DVD. I'm so excited. It will take some time for the shipment to get there, then the video to transfer from one medium to the next, and then ship back, which is fine. At least I finally get to watch the film. It sounds hilarious.

Here is the VHS:

I have the package almost ready to ship. It just needs postage paid, except the USPS site was being stupid so I'll need to go to the post office to get it paid, and then, of course, shipped! Hooray!
I've heard mixed things about the movie. I love Graham Chapman's work so I'm giving it a shot. I'm not sure when the DVD will get here once the VHS goes there to be transferred.

Found in a close-out bin, Curse of the Demon, AKA Night of the Demon, a British movie from 1957, a fairly quiet, verbose British "horror" movie, that builds to a good climax. You only actually see the demon for a few seconds and, when you do, you realize that YOU don't want to meet this demon anymore than the poor folks in UK in 1957.
