As I was reading through this thread, I almost thought no one was going to mention this title.

Primer cost $7000 to make and has so far generated more than half a million dollars in returns. Even though the film is visually probably not what one would normally expect to see, I personally thought it had one of the strongest storylines I've seen in a very long time. Perhaps the last comparable title was Lynch's Mulholland Drive.



Yeah, Primer is definitely awesome. When i posted my list of best debuts i hadn't seen it yet, but now that i have it would definitely be on there. I'd love to see Shane Carruth do another movie.

Seriously, Badlands, Terrence Malick. Anyone?
