It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!” ~ Rocky Balboa

I doubt I'd ever watch whatever biopic gets made about Michael Jackson. Almost everyone would make something terrible out of that. Not even good terrible. But trying to think of directors who might make me want to see such a thing.

1) Mike Leigh
2) PT Anderson
3) Sean Baker
4) Nicolas Wending Refn
5) David Cronenberg
6) Sofia Coppola
7) Joshua Oppenheimer
8) Charles Laughton (resurrected)
9) M. Night Shyalmalan
10) Gaspar Noe

The first look at the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic has been released, and it recreates one of the singer’s most iconic outfits.

Michael Jackson’s nephew, Jaafar Jackson, plays the King of Pop in “Michael,” which releases in theaters on April 18, 2025. The film is now in production.

Jaafar Jackson takes the stage and recreates his uncle’s iconic “Man in the Mirror” look from his Dangerous Tour from 1992-93 in the first-look photo. It was taken by photographer Kevin Mazur, who photographed Jackson throughout his career and during his “This Is It” rehearsals.
