Star Wars: Episode III

I hope ol George is making this the last star wars movie, not that the films were bad but its getting old. His fame is mostly from star wars. The only other movie he did sides this i think was Wade the Duck which was by the way a total piece of crap.

Wow- how late am i on this thread? I should have been the one to start it, lol.

Was I the only one who noticed the guy in the Chewbacca suit!? Do you think they're gonna try to get a 'young' Han Solo?
I would be highly dissapointed if Lucas and Co decided to give han a cameo. Firstly, his entrance in the original episodes was flawlwss- like a gunslinger in the old west, simply amazing. Secondly, he would have be be really young. Even if they put Chewie in it, Han hadnt met chewie yet, so it would have to be two different cameos, which would be just franlky annoying.
I would, however, be pleased to see some lesser characters make some appearances, such as the barkeep on tatooine, maybe a young Admiral Ackbar or Grand Moff Tarkin. (Who, back then is what, Lesser Moff Tarkin? Lowly Moff Tarkin?)
Anyway it goes down- i am completley and utterly stoked.

they also need to show how yoda gets banished to degoba ...

i dont know about you guys but i have loved every starwars so far and i cant diss them .... i loved the fight between duku and yoda in AOTC

Uh...Yoda wasnt banished to Dagobah, he seeks refuge there from his enemies (which are numerous). It would also be nice to see yoda win a fight!

Im told there are about 30 fights

Here is something i found from a site
For three years the Great Clone War has ravaged the galaxy. Starvation and misery stalk countless worlds.

Although near defeat, Count Dooku and his Confederacy of Independent Systems have masterminded the capture of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine.

With the mighty Armada of the Republic behind them, Jedi Knights Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker pursue Dooku and his sinister agents across the galaxy...

-The movie opens excitingly with a chase from Coruscant between Dooku's ship and Anakin and Obi-Wan, who are leading the Armada of the Republic in a rescue attempt of the Supreme Chancellor. Palpatine was kidnapped by Dooku as they were supposed to meet face to face on the Republic capital and negotiate a peaceful settlement to the conflict. Palpatine's escorts included Shaak-Ti among others. The Jedi are able to track her signal and are being drawn into a Separatist trap in deep space, where a whole fleet of warships are waiting for them. The Republic Armada engages and a raging space battle commences in spectacular fashion. Tarkin is commanding one of the Republic Battleships.

-Obi-Wan and Anakin are flying new Jedi Starfighters which have a striking similarity to the TIE fighters of the original trilogy. They attempt to get a lock on Shaak Ti's tracking device and soon discover that she and Palpatine are in the most heavily guarded ship, a massive Trade Federation cruiser. Suddenly 20 or so droid fighters (resembling smaller Imperial shuttles) ambush them. They call for backup from the clonetroopers and an awesome space battle ensues.

-Basketball-sized sphere shaped droids are deployed by the Separatists to attack the Republic fleet. Several attach to Obi-Wan's starship popping out arms, legs, and lasers. They begin dismantling the various components of his vehicle including his R4 droid. Anakin flies in to save his former master telling him to keep steady as he shoots at the droids. After dangerously hitting Obi-Wan's ship one time too many with laser blasts, Anakin get's extremely close and attempts to brush the droids off with his wing. Suddenly one hops onto his fighter and tries to cut R2-D2's head off. The blue astro droid quickly extends an arm and hits it with a blast of electricity, knocking the evil machine clear off the ship.

-One last droid remains attached to Obi-Wan's ship and does some major damage. Obi-wan's ejector seat doesn't function and control of his ship is almost lost, so his plan is to crash land into the hanger of the large separatist cruiser where Palpatine is being held. The one caveat is a shield is up so Anakin must fly in to knock it out before Obi-Wan can pull off the maneuver. Anakin succeeds at this difficult task as the two Jedi enter the ship just as the steel hanger doors close shut. Obi-Wan quickly pulls out his lightsaber and cuts open the canopy of his starfighter, managing to jump out of the cockpit right before his ship crashes and bursts into flames. Several battle droids surround him as he flips in the air. Suddenly Anakin comes flying in through the hanger and crashes into the droids, saving Obi-Wan's life once again.

-The two Jedi sweep through the ship following Shaak Ti's signal and confront many battle droids along the way. When they find her, she's in a room filled with more droids as well as General Grievious and his body guards. Grievous is the droid general of the Separatist forces, a cyborg with only the brain and eyes of a human. His metal body resembles the Terminator endoskeleton but he wears a cloak covering most of his torso. On his belt he ominously carries the lightsabers of the Jedi he has killed in the past, while his sinister body guards (who are not robotic) carry electrified pikes impervious to lightsabers. Grievous has Shaak Ti kneel in front of him and then shockingly executes her with her own lightsaber. Obi-Wan and Anakin rush in to fight with the battle droids and Grievous' henchmen. As more opponents show up, the Jedi's realize they are outmatched and escape by cutting into the floor and plunging right down to the engine room of the starship. All the while the space battle continues to rage on outside causing the starship to endure heavy damage.

-The engine room dangerously fills with liquid fuel which covers the Jedi and prevents them from using their lightsabers. The tension increases when they realize the openings in the room appear far too small for a human to fit through. As they struggle to find a way out, battle droids from the upper floor begin to show up. The Jedi eventually discover an opening and begin climbing up the ladder inside the shaft. The battle droids are right on their heels as the fuel get's extremely close to the electrodes on the walls. The Jedi reach the hallway and Anakin seals the hatch behind them with his lightsaber. Suddenly the fuel reaches the electrodes and a horrifying explosion rips the ship in half.

-Quickly, Anakin and Obi-Wan make it to the bridge where they find Chancellor Palpatine and General Grievous. They attack Grievous but he quickly knocks Obi-Wan out and fights Anakin alone. Through the window of the bridge we can see that the ship is crashing into Coruscant. Grievous sees this too and makes a daring escape. He smashes the glass and climbs out the window (Because he is mostly metal he can walk on walls, ceilings and the outside of starships). He runs along the outside of the ship, makes his way to an escape pod and gets away. Back in the bridge Obi-Wan is still knocked out as Dooku emerges and faces Anakin in front of a captured Palpy. It's a replay of ROTJ except this time a Skywalker gives in to his anger as Palpatine goads him on. Anakin destroys Dooku even as the former Jedi says "Please don't kill me!".

-Obi-Wan wakes up to find Anakin at the helm of the ship trying to prevent it from crashing. Anakin is attempting to pilot Dooku's crippled ship back to Coruscant for a crash-landing. It is a very tense moment as the audience has no idea whether Anakin can make it there. As the ship enters Coruscant's atmosphere, it starts to burn up and debris begins flying off. Just before they crash into the city below, Anakin is able to get the nose of the ship up to make a somewhat safe crash landing. Fireships approach the burning wreck to put out the fire. The Clone War is over.

-Although the Separatists have been defeated, Palpy does not relinquish his emergency powers. Instead he declares to a gathered Senate that although they are without a leader now and on the retreat, an opportunity must not be squandered---Republic forces must take advantage of defeating the Separatists for good. Under the command of Jedi generals, clonetroopers are to be spread throughout the galaxy to deal with the remnants of the Separatists. While Mace Windu holds fort on Coruscant, several prominent Jedi are among those sent out on these intergalactic missions. Ki-Adi Mundi and Plo Koon have an assignment to investigate the planet Utapau as it contains reinforcement camps allowing the dispersement of additional droid armies and droid army regrouping. Yoda's mission lands him on the planet Kashyyyk as he leads troops on the highly-modern forest world inhabited by Wookiees. Finally, Obi-Wan gets an assignment to lead some elite ARC troops in a search and destroy mission for the missing cyborg general and his 8 Jedi killing henchmen. Anakin resents his former master recieving this great task as his ego has swelled since single-handedly rescuing the Supreme Chancellor. Palpy decides to make Anakin his personal bodyguard because of this.

-The Jedi are angry at Anakin for killing Dooku because the Separatist leader was still a member of the Jedi order at the time Darth Maul was alive. Because they assume Dooku couldn't teach someone under their noses and considering they've figured out that he's definitely a Sith, they conclude he must be the apprentice of an elusive "phantom" Sith master (as Maul was). So the whole point of the mission was to rescue the Chancellor and CAPTURE Dooku for questioning (they want to know who the Sith master is). By killing Dooku, Anakin technically blew the mission and the Jedi now can't find out squat. That's why they don't give Anakin the respect he feels he's earned since saving the Supreme Chancellor.

-Anakin and Padme share some time together on Coruscant. Anakin knows his wife is pregnant but isn't aware of twins. While the young Jedi begins his task as the Chancellor's right hand man, Bail Organa holds a secret meeting for the Loyalist Committee inside Padme's apartment. The Loyalists remember Palpatine's promise to give up his emergency powers once the war is over, which they now want him to fulfill. Meanwhile Grievous is being directed by Sidious to orchestrate chaos in the galaxy, forcing the Jedi and clone forces to aggressively chase the remaining and scattered Separatists over many worlds. Sidious' goal is to spread the Jedi order thin.

-Ki Adi Mundi and Plo Koon send a distress transmision to the Jedi council who relay the message to Obi-Wan. He goes with his troops to assist on the rocky planet of Utapau leading to a close encounter with General Grievous and his henchmen. Obi-Wan separates from his troops to chase the cyborg aboard an animal best described as a large and very fast lizard as Grievous flees in a vehicle resembling a one-wheeled version of a Hailfire droid with 4 legs. Many moments of rocky wall climbing ensue during an exciting and wickedly fast chase. Later on the two opponents engage in some hand-to-hand combat in which Grievous' forearms each split in two, allowing him to wield a total of 4 lightsabers at the same time. Ironically, Obi-Wan is forced to use Grievous' own blaster to take him out. After Obi-Wan eliminates the cyborg he returns to his troops.

-Somehow Mace discovers Palpy is a Sith lord and goes to confront him in his office, leading to a tussle in Anakin's presence. This scene plays out very similarly to ROTJ when Vader passively watched his son get electrocuted. Sidious starts off with lightning which Mace deflects easily but then brings out a red lightsaber, employing a slow plodding one handed fencing style. Anakin is put in a position where his is forced to make a decision. He sides with Palpy, brutally assisting the killing of Windu. While Windu puts on an amazing and brave fight, he loses because he has to face two adversaries with differing abilities (ie: a lightsaber from one side, lightning from the other...). Windu actually gives Anakin quite a battle before he dies.

-Palpy reveals his true self to Anakin. He basically convinces him that the Jedi are corrupt and are trying to usurp the Chancellor's power. He talks about the Jedi's alleged jealousy of him, how they never wanted to train him because they were afraid of his powers, how they were responsible for Shmi's death and could have saved her, and most importantly their strict forbidding of marriage. Basically he is pushing all the right buttons with him until he finally unloads the ultimate seduction, playing on Anakin's particular sensitivity to the issue of mortality & death.

-He tells Anakin that he knows a way to cheat death and has the ability to virtually shed his mortality and make even those close to him prolong their existence forever. He makes it clear that it's an ability the Jedi order could never offer him and shockingly reveals that Qui-Gon Jinn was the first Jedi to take advantage of this death-cheating. He points out that Qui-Gon was better than the rest of the Jedi because he followed his own path and stayed true to his own feelings, not blindly following the misguided orders of the Jedi. And because of this lifestyle he was rewarded with the secret of an everlasting existence. Anakin is assured that by allying himself with Palpatine and the dark side, he would never again have to endure something like his mother's loss ever again. Palpatine then pretty much tells Anakin his plans of creating an Empire and bringing order to the galaxy. He presents the young Jedi Knight with the choice between the light and the dark side, between allegiance to the Jedi and allegiance to the Emperor.

-Anakin pledges his allegiance to Palpatine, signifying his official turn to the dark side of the Force. He ceases to be a Jedi Knight named Anakin Skywalker and now becomes Palpatine's Sith Apprentice, Darth Vader. It is at this point that Palpatine sends his new Sith apprentice on missions with clonetroopers to assassinate Jedi. One such mission has Anakin infiltrating the Jedi Temple, eliminating the Younglings and any Jedi trying to protect them.

-Palpatine declares the Jedi order traitors of the Republic in the Senate. Considering Palpatine had the clone troopers made with genetic data which allows him to take complete control when he needs to, he gives the order for all the clone troopers to kill their Jedi masters. The Jedi from this point forward are considered enemies of the Republic and fugitives. Obi-Wan narrowly escapes his troops and is forced to kill one particular clone he'd befriended during the clone wars. Quick shots are shown on multiple worlds of clone troopers turning on their Jedi generals and eliminating them in several creative ways. Watch for prominent Jedi council members to go out this way, including Ki Adi and Plo Koon on Utapau. Yoda has little difficulty dealing with the clone troopers that turn on him on Kashyyyk, especially with the help of the Wookiees. He also attains part of what seems to be a Sith book (perhaps on Kashyyyk). A homing beacon is sent to all the surviving Jedi in the galaxy to return to Coruscant. "Fugitive" Obi-Wan is able to recieve help from the ruler of Utapau (Bruce Spence) and picks up Yoda from Kashyyyk. They travel back to Coruscant.

-When they return to the Jedi temple, it's ransacked with clonetroopers everywhere. No Jedi seem to be alive. In the hopes of saving some of their Jedi comrades, Obi-Wan and Yoda REVERSE the beacon telling the Jedi not to come to Coruscant but run for their lives. Yoda goes to meditate and discovers through his meditation into the dark side that "if the Sith master dies, the apprentice perishes as well". He also deducts that the Supreme chancellor is the Sith master.

-Footage is found of Anakin's attack on the Jedi temple. The Jedi realize it was he who set up the beacon to bring the Jedi into a trap on Coruscant. This is the moment where they must come to grips with the fact that the "chosen one" has turned to the darkside. Obi-Wan is very aware that he needs to put a stop to his wayward apprentice, although neither him nor Yoda think the former can take on Anakin alone. As insurance, Yoda believes he should confront Palpatine because by defeating him the Sith threat would end according to the prophesy. Obi-Wan agrees that while this is a suicide mission for both of them, they have to do their duty. The two Jedi go their separate ways---Yoda confronts Palpatine while Obi-Wan tracks Anakin down.

-Palpatine sends Anakin on a mission to the lava planet Mustafar. He is to terminate the remaining leaders of the Separatists who have gathered there for a meeting. Mustafar would best be described as the underbowels of Bespin meets a lava processing facilities. Take the environment that Luke and Vader fought in on Bespin, and build it into the side of a volcanic mountain and you'll begin to get a rough idea of what the area will be like. Anakin confides with his wife about his new loyalties before journeying to Mustafar.

-Obi-Wan tracks Padme down and demands information about her husband's whereabouts. She is reluctant at first but ultimately leads Obi-Wan to Mustafar. By the time they arrive at the lava planet, Anakin has already dispatched all the Separatist leaders. As the young Sith apprentice realizes his wife has led his former master to him, he becomes very upset at what he percieves as the ultimate betrayal of trust. Padme is shocked and scared by her husband's horrific behavior. In an act of repulsion, she tells him she has miscarried their unborn child. Anakin becomes even more furious and force-chokes Padme in a fit of anger, throwing her aside as Obi-Wan ignites his saber and the duel begins.

-The Duel--- The duel as a whole is long, large, extremely emotional, and will take place in a variety of environments over a period of time (likely intercut with other scenes of galactic carnage as Bail Organa and The Jedi attempt to escape from Palpatine's minions). It streches out over various locations, inside and outside of a mechanical room, hanging from cables, and more until it comes to a halt at the crater of a volcano where Anakin falls victim to his vulnerability on slopes. Obi-Wan manages to sever one of Anakin's legs and he falls into the lava. Obi-Wan thinks Anakin has died.

-Following the duel Obi-Wan, Padme, Bail, and Yoda are on board the blockade runner (aka Tantine IV) on their way to Alderaan. Padme is seriously wounded from injuries Anakin inflicted upon her. They try to save her but her condition isn't looking good so Tantive IV is forced to land on a new planet (The inhabitants of this new world resemble the classic grey UFO aliens and are very short). The twins are born prematurely after being rescued from the dying Padme, who falls victim to her injuries shortly after Leia and Luke are removed from her. This is also where Bail, Yoda and Obi-Wan decide on how to proceed, i.e. what to do with the two children.

-Palpy rescues Anakin and transforms him into an "iron lung" Sith lord on Mustafar. This was the planet where a previous cyborg was constructed (Grievous). Vader is being attended by medical droids when he wakes up and realizes what the operation has turned him into. Combined with Sidious telling him he was responsible for Padme's death and realizing he's been lied to about the promise of immortality, he completely loses it and starts force choking people and throwing droids around, ultimately devastating the entire room he's in. Palpy leaves Anakin to cleanse himself of his self loathing and rage.

-A Sith ceremony occurs where Palpy knights his apprentice to commemorate his new metamorphosis.

-What follows is the ending sequence of the film:

* Padme's funeral on Naboo-She is carried to the graveside in a floating casket, much like the carbonite block carrying Han Solo on Cloud City. Among those in attendance are Sio Bibble, the Queen, some handmaidens, Padme's family, and the loyalists.

* Obi-Wan Kenobi arriving on Tatooine and delivering the infant Luke Skywalker to Owen and Beru Lars

* Bail Organa and his wife on Alderaan with the infant Leia Skywalker. R2-D2 and C-3PO are present on Alderaan as well.

*Darth Vader, Darth Sidious/Palpatine, and Tarkin on the bridge of a Star Destroyer, overlooking the construction of the first Death Star. At that time the end credits roll.

It should be done that way.

The new star wars movie will be great! This will be George's last time to make a starwars movie. You no hes gonna go out big hes just that kinda guy.I figure it to be the best or 2nd best but thats my opinion. Not to get off the subject but why was everybody upset with 1 and 2.I mean they were pretty cool movies not as great as the originals but heck they were good.

Sorry if it is a stupid one but why did the Empire not have control of where Yoda lives in the old ones? Did he know anything about it? Is it the only freedom place to live?

The empire wouldnt have any reason to take control of dagobah, simply because there is nothing to take control of! With no cities or colonies, the only thing the Empire could gain is an entirely new source of icky swamp goo that seems to stagnate in the death star's trash compactors. Its also considered haunted, probably because of its connection to the dark jedi of Bpfassh. (Dont you think i deserve a few reputation points for that little nugget?)

Oh im sure they did look for him and try to kill him, no doubt. And perhaps, as we may see in Episode III, they think him to be already dead, and call off the hunt.

The Strongest Girl Alive
I'm looking forward to this movie.

Yea probably

1. Creepy Anakin tapping his dark side.
2. A new headshot of Natile Portman.
3. A Senate Aide (Looks like Angelina Jolie - )
4 Academy-Award nominee Kiesha Castle-Hughes as the new queen of Naboo
