Didn't watch this when it was first on but I finished the whole thing a few years back. I think it was Netflix. It's still probably the most consistently funny sitcom I've ever seen. I haven't seen them all of course but I'm talking heavyweights like Seinfeld, Cheers, M*A*S*H etc. It's closest competition is probably Arrested Development (at least it's first three seasons). Or Veep.

Even if you were trying to pay attention you'd still end up missing some of the jokes and running gags. That's how fast and furious the humor was.

Loved Jack's opening of the 4th season opener. More Steve Buscemi please. The story about Kenneth's timecard was a little silly. Loved when Pete's wife offered Liz a role in her and Pete's sex life. Surprised the idea of hiring a new cats member is making everyone nuts because everyone seems to hate Tracy and Jenna. Jack really needs to stop taking advantage of poor naive Kenneth. Jenna's tennis song was great.

Loved when the bookstore worker destroyed Liz' cutout in the window, great opening to ep 2 of season 4. Loved Jack's blurb on Liz' book jacket. "The Microwave" song was hysterical. The return of Will Arnett as Devin Banks was a nice surprise. It's sad that Liz' book is causing so much chaos for her, it's not fair. I also don't understand why the writing staff for TGS is responsible for making consumers buy more microwaves.

Just watched ep 4....I wonder if that was an accident or an actual attempt on Tracy's life? Loved Kenneth's story about Florence Henderson. The Halloween cutaway was hilarious. That scene in the drive through with Liz and Jack was funny too. Betty White's cameo fell flat...predictable casting, they should have cast someone else in that cameo. Loved "Peppy Bismilk". Loved Jenna communicating with Sasha. Tina and Alec crack me up...sometimes I swear some of their scenes are written just to see which one can me the other one break character. Cerie's costume an Italian senator? I don't get it. And was that Jack MacBrayer in drag at the scenes in the Laugh Factory? Jack beating up the ventriloquist figure was a little much.

Few more episodes and I'll have rewatched the entire season in about 5-6 weeks. Great show, and being so rapid fire means you forget a lot of individual jokes and can still enjoy a lot of the gags the second or third time through. This'll put me around 3-ish total.

Loved the fact that Liz and Pete and to manipulate Jack into picking the new cast member they wanted by throwing red herrings at him. Jack's itching, what was that about? Jack quarantined in his office...brilliant. Nice to learn that you can't get bedbugs if you went to Princeton. Loved that .com wanted to audition for the show. Loved the cutaway to Jenna's play and Liz asking what play was that. Scott Adsit nailed that dazzling little moment with Liz about opening up the floodgates. Loved that Tracy was threatened at learning .com was auditioning instead of just being angry with him. The return of Cathy Giest was hysterical. Tracy and Jenna gathering auditionees in an SVU was funny too. "I'm bi-larious!" Tina doing Christopher Walken had me on the floor. Jack on the subway singing with those guys was a perfect button to a great show.

LOVED the reveal of Cheyenne Jackson as the new cast member. Loved Pete's advice to Danny. Liz doing a own talk show has disaster written all over it, funny disaster, but disaster nevertheless. Kenneth kills me..."I feel about as useless as a mom's college degree." The agent in the oversized suit was too funny. Loved the dumb sports show. Jack MacBrayer was brilliant in that confrontation with Danny. The meeting of the minds between Jack and Liz at the end was inspired.

The opening scene with Liz' breakaway of her new life was a hysterical opening to ep 7. anytime Alec Baldwin and Will Arnett share the screen is gold. Loved Tracy using "EGOT" as a verb and also loved the fact that the necklace originally belonged to Phillip Michael Thomas. Chris Parnell nailed his scene with Tina...that guy is so funny. Frank turning into Liz was brilliant. Liz' promo session had me on the floor...I got the feeling that Tina was given little instruction on what to do there. Tina Fey is a genius. Loved when Pete and Kenneth stepped in front of the High Def camera. Can't believe Tracy tried to steal Whoopi's awards. Old Liz talking to New Liz in the mirror was the best. Loved the cameo by Bo and Hope from DAYS OF OUR LIVES at the end too. Great show.

Loved at the beginning of ep 8 when Cerie referred to Meet the Parents as "that old movie." The Kenneth secret Santa cutaway was very funny. Loved Jonathan threatening Liz and Julianne Moore was hysterical as Nancy. So glad they're going to find a way for Cheyenne Jackson to sing. Loved when his singing made Jenna's nose bleed. OMG, who's Mark Hemingway? I liked that Tracy made the guys apologize to Kenneth even though he didn't accept. I like the way, deep down, Tracy seems to care for Kenneth. He seems to be the only person at TGS that Tracy cares about. Hate that Danny threw the duet with Jenna, she really needed to be himbled a bit. Loved Liz and Jack's Christmas gifts to each other.

Just wanted to mention this was right around the time I started watching the first time because I remember Cheyenne Jackson and Julianne Moore but I'm going to continue watching because I don't remember whether or not I watched the final episode or not.

LOVED the reveal of Cheyenne Jackson as the new cast member.
The show's ability to introduce new characters, even smaller ones, and get a lot out of them, is really impressive as the show goes on. It's amazing how often you'll have a character who gets one scene, or even one line, but nails it. They really seem to take the casting seriously for every little role. Except, of course, for the handful of times they throw their writers into them (like Hannibal playing the same homeless guy a few times), but those are usually pretty good anyway.

It was nice that ep 9 revealed Jack's opinion about the three best kinds of sex. Kenneth's competition with Jonathan was cute...poor Jonathan, he's never going to get the love he wants from Jack, is he? James Franco offers another of his best unhinged versions of himself for this show. I lost it when Randy got excited when Liz said she was going to take him to the Port Authoity.

Jack's discussion with Liz at the opening of ep 10 about Danny being the first person at TGS that he has been able to talk about "guy stuff" with was weird because isn't that what 95% of his discussions wit Liz are? Love when Liz called herself "Tron." Jenna's audition for Gossip Girl was a riot. Love the black light in Liz. Loved Liz' reaction to Danny dressed up like Larry Wilcox. Liz and Jack battling for Danny, I love it. The whole thing of Tracy and Sue his new entourage member was stupid. But everything with Jack, Liz, and Danny made the episode more than watchable.

Ep 12 was kind of fun; loved when Tracy dished the Rock and Roll hall of Fame; Love that Grizz and .Com have minds of their own and get upset when everyone assumes they're jut Tracy's yes men. This thing with Baldwin and Julianne Moore has run its course, time to moveon.

Got a little education with ep 13...I actually learned about famous suffragette Anna Howard Shaw, thanks to Liz Lemon's lousy love life. Loved when Jack was mouthing Liz' words when she was telling him about her Valentine's day plans, that was freaking brilliant. Why doesn't Twofer want to date Black women? Jenna's confrontation with her stalker was gold. Elizabeth Banks was razor sharp as Avery Jessup and her chemistry with Baldwin burned a hole in the screen, best chemistry I've seen with Baldwin since I started this show. Poor Jonathan...will he ever know his dream of carnal knowledge with Jack Donaghy? Loved Liz' dress zipper. Oh man, I can't think of anything I'd like to see more than Liz have a romance with Jon Bon Jovi but I know that's never going to happen. The reveal of Jenna and her flasher's story revealed in flashback. The cameo by Jason Sudekis, Dean Winters, and Jon Hamm was golden. And is it just me, or is Avery he closest thing we've seen to a female version of Jack?

Did Kenneth actually throw his wallet out the window at the beginning of ep 14? LOVING Alec Baldwin and Elizabeth Banks together. James Rebhorn was a surprise piece of casting as Liz' dentist. Loved the reveal that Jenna has been petitioning the Tony committee to add an award for "living theatrically in real life." Loved the sign Kenneth posted regarding his wallet. Jack commanding the room with his voice...good bit. Love Liz' ringtone. Not feeling Tina Fey and Michael Sheen at all.

I'm hoping the purchase of NBC by Cabletown is explored beyond NBC. James Rebhorn was funny helping TIna and Michael Sheen. Jenna ate the pig who played Babe? Cabletown is a porn company? Great reveal. Scott Bryce was wonderful as the Cabletown executive. I'm not buying the "Settling Soulmates" thing. Don't want to see Liz do this, her love life has been messy enough. Tracy trying to seduce Liz was hilarious. Jack's idea of Porn for Women is genius though.

Didn't see the return of Jason Sudekis as the opening of ep 16. Poor Danny...he's just too good and pure for the world of TGS, don't see him lasting much longer, even though I love Cheyenne Jackson. Loved Liz' Christopher Cross song. The Tracy/Kenneth/Jenna thing fell totally flat. when did Floyd become so insensitive? Floyd had me on the floor during The Today Show. But Floyd's whole return seems to be an extra knife in the ribs to Liz she really doesn't need. Jack MacBrayer was really funny in this episode too.

Loved Jack and Avery's dirty talk at the beginning of ep 17 and Liz' birthday card. Should have expected the return of Julianne Moore but hope it doesn't last long. More education from 30 Rock...we learned how to say black in dolphin. Peanut Butter and Miller High Life salt water taffy....hmmmm. Julianne Moore looked great in her Frances Farmer get up in her hotel room. Loved the analogy of Jack's romances as an episode of Three's Company. Loved when Jack told Liz there was a "slight" difference between their genders. Tracy almost got a half a brain in this episode. I have to admit that until he quit, I didn't notice that Twofer was the only black writer on the staff. Glad Twofer came back.

Ep 18 had a surprising reveal in Jack confessing that he is troubled juggling Nancy and Avery...this thing is something that would be right up Jack's alley. Does jack actually have a conscience? wondering how Jack came 489.3. I lost oit when Liz started speaking German in the middle of a sentence. The dueling janitors thing didn't work for me.
