Argento genius or mediocre

Argento has made a handful of great films:
Bird with the Crystal Plumage, Deep Red, Suspiria and Tenebre. Terror at the Opera was ok but he's been on a downward spiral since. Does anyone like any of his recent movies?

I wouldn’t call him a genius. ‘Suspiria’ and ‘The Bird with the Crystal Plumage’ are great, but Argento relies too heavily on visuals over substance, and his plotting calls for too much suspension of disbelief. That said, he is the master of giallo.
