Tell me about that one movie in your collection that you've seen many times but never seem to get tired of watching?

For me it's Aliens. Its got a good story, has both likeable and dislikable characters [cough] Burke [cough] and as it was all filmed with practical effects still holds up to newer films about 40 years later. It carries on the lore of the original and expands upon it.

So what's your movie you never tire of watching?

Any movie that I watch too often I will start to dislike. Watching something three times in 5 years would be too much for me. So there's no movie that I can watch over and over again. To me that sounds like torture...I don't relate to movies like that.

There are a lot of movies that I can watch over and over again, but the movie that I watch the most is probably Arsenic and Old Lace (1944).

The Thing

I've told this story before but... Napoleon Dynamite (2004).

I mention it because the first time I watched it I was left with my mouth open, asking the question: "What did I just watch? Was this supposed to be a comedy?"
I didn't really find it funny the first time, just very weird.
The weirdness intrigued me over time, so I watched it again.
With each subsequent viewing I found myself laughing at it more and more... and repeating lines from it.
It really grew on me.

It was a sweet lie.
