Welcome to the human race...
I also wish Bob Geldof hadn't played the lead in Pink Floyd - The Wall. Knowing that Roger Waters himself was originally set on playing the lead (the source album was his ultimate vanity project, after all) just makes Geldof's casting all the more conspicuous - after all, it's not like the role really demands some serious acting chops or else they wouldn't have gotten, y'know, Bob Geldof.

I completely agree about the STAR WARS prequels. Unfortunately, George Lucas decided to pay for these movies and any hope for much-needed collaboration went out the window. I mean, they could've used some outside criticism and he did have friends come over, occasionally - friends like Ron Howard - who aren't invested in the project, to comment. And what are they going to say that wasn't "supportive"? What else would George welcome, or listen to? Phantom Menace was the one script that he revisited the most and fretted over. Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith seemed like they went off of first drafts, rather than completed scripts, relying on ILM to flesh out the movie, instead with his so-called "armchair directing." But he made an insane amount of money for bare minimal effort, even to the point of selling Lucasfilm to the highest bidder. As a filmmaker, he's a washout, but as a money-maker, he's absolutely amazing!

If I had a steak, I would f**k it!
Martin Scorsese-Last Temptation of Christ (Marty is a favorite by the way)
Francis Ford Coppola-Jack, Godfather III
Steven Spielberg-Lost World: Jurassic Park
Tarantino-Jackie Brown (sorry, I don't like it), Deathproof
David Fincher-Alien 3
Ang Lee-Hulk
Ridley Scott: Exodus: Gods and Kings
And while we're on the subject, Darren Aronofsky-Noah

I'm a great fan of HULK!

There were a couple parts I could do without, though. Like Eric Bana's American accent needed a little more work, at times. When Banner's father tangles with Hulk at the end, I'm like ... I don't even know what the hell I just saw! There are a lot of people who didn't like Hulk's semi-flying by leaping across the desert, almost as a bounce, really. But, I got it ... and thought it was very apt, indeed. Jennifer Conelly was at her most beautiful - I was stunned, honestly, and she's always good, in everything. I thought her character's father was very well-played and Nick Nolte was good ... it was a great cast.

Most of Adrien Brody's filmography for the past decade.
From youngest Best Actor recipient to... this:

Fun Fact: He received a writing credit as well.

A lot of my favorite actors have been doing junk... Al Pacino, Robert De Niro.. it's too bad. It's not like they're struggling to pay rent, and the films are garbage, so I don't see the point of them doing it, but hey, it's not my life...

Wow, a 1 rating for Departed! I've never given a film a 1 rating yet.

This sentence from the review sums it up: "How do you judge a remake of a film you liked?"...Answer, give the remake a 1 star

I was going to put Martin Scorsese, but I don't think it's the films he chose, I think it's him... He was one of my favorite directors ever, but I was a teenager. And after seeing "The Departed" which has one of my favorite actors ever (Jack Nicholson) and thinking that it was horrible, I STILL thought I'd give him another chance.

I saw "The Wolf of Wall Street" and it was the worst movie experience of my life, especially since some people really like it. I think Marty's a sellout, maybe he should stick to making money doing commercials for credit card corporations.

I read and have the Taxi Driver script, add that with how great Robert De Niro was,, no one could have ruined that film. I think Scorsese got lucky, which is odd considering John Cassavetes gave him his first job.

The Aviator was another film of his I saw. Wasn't as bad as the other two, but it wasn't *** compared to "The Amazing Howard Hughes" - where Tommy Lee Jones does a much better job than Dicaprio, and the film is better in general.

Raging Bull? Goodfellas? Hell, even Hugo?

Colin Trevorrow, Jurassic World. I think my expectations were to high for this film. Jurassic Park was the film that started my love of movies, so it probably couldn't have lived up to my expectations. Was hoping for a return to the Science Fiction/Horror tone, but got more of a comedy instead.

Oh, there's a loooooonnng list of these for me. Almost every director nowadays seems to have at least one or two. Here's some that come to my mind right now:

Takeshi Kitano - Brother
Dario Argento - every film after Opera
David Fincher - Alien 3
David Lynch - Dune
Big second to David Lynch and Dune.

So nice to find out I wasn't the only one who hated The Wolf of Wall Street...ridiculous movie.

Bruce Jenner can't act, he would have been terrible in that movie.

America's biggest embarrassment(at the moment).

I wish Nicholsan hadn't been in a Few Good Men.

Tend to agree about Scorsese, after Casino he's gone downhill and I can't understand his fascination with De Caprio who is the most over rated actor ever............apart from Bruce Jenner.

Agree.

Don't patronise me. There are instances of me liking both an original and remake (the main examples being Invasion of the Body Snatchers and Scarface), but The Departed is quite simply that bad a remake where virtually every change to the source is for the worse. Even if I did go in without having seen Infernal Affairs, I still think I'd find it irritating and mediocre, but the ways in which it drops the interesting qualities of the source film in favour of some extremely banal characterisation and filmmaking serve as the icing on one particularly awful cake. I've tried to appreciate it for what it is but each new viewing only ends up being more disappointing. I honestly think that it'd be forgotten or ignored if it hadn't been directed by Scorsese, which is the main reason I feel like he shouldn't have been the one to direct it (especially since he feels like he's imitating himself). The Wolf of Wall Street isn't much better with its obnoxious length and characters, plus it also feels like Scorsese is trading on former glories with that one.

Also, are people still referring to Caitlyn Jenner as Bruce?

Why didn't you like Nicholson in A Few Good Men? And who would you have cast as Jessup?
