Much loved (by my generation anyway) British actor Roy Barraclough has died aged 81.
He played the Rovers Return landlord for many years, but the role that always makes me smile is when he played Cissie opposite the genius Les Dawson's Ada. The pair of them always remind me of my nan and her sisters gossiping at the kitchen table and silently mouthing words they didn't want you to hear .
He's probably been in every soap and many sitcoms over the last 50 years. RIP Roy, you brought much laughter
