4. 101 Dalmatians - 10/10

3. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs - 10/10

2. Zootopia - 10/10

1. Pinocchio - 10/10

Zootopia came close to being my number 1 pick, but theres no denying the staying power of Pinocchio!

oh! one last thing, before i leave for a bit: which of the following should i do next?

1. star trek movies

2. james bond movies

3. dreamworks animated movies

let me know and ill get onto it asap!

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
so, over the past few weeks, ive been reviewing and ranking disney movies that were released in theaters from Snow White to Moana, and now i want to show you what i rate and where i rank these movies. there are 78 in total, and ill unveil them 6 at a time, if thats alright. heres 78-73:

78. Strange Magic (2015) - 2/10

77. Doug's 1st Movie (1999) - 2.5/10

76. The Jungle Book 2 (2003) - 3/10

75. Planes (2013) - 3/10

74. The Wild (2006) - 3.5/10

73. Valiant (2005) - 4/10

will unveil the next six in a little bit if i dont pass out first.

The only one of these I saw was The Wild, and I thought it was terrible.

Were some of these movies straight-to-DVD releases, or were they all in the theater? (I thought The Jungle Book 2 was a straight-to-DVD release.)

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
okay, i passed out before i could add the next six. heres 72-67:

72. Chicken Little - 4/10

71. Mars Needs Moms - 4.5/10

70. Brother Bear - 4.5/10

69. Oliver & Company - 4.5/10

68. Planes: Fire and Rescue - 4.5/10

67. Return to Never Land - 5/10

ill return in a few minutes (promise) for the next six.

I'm not surprised to see it this low on your list, but I thought Mars Needs Moms was a cute movie.

I haven't seen the rest, but Brother Bear and Oliver & Company have been on my watchlist for a while.

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
you may enjoy it more than me, rauldc14. i know a few people really got into it. and i forgot to mention what my ratings detail. 0-3.5/10 is a not good movie, 4-7/10 is an okay movie, and 7.5+/10 is a good movie, with 9.5-10/10 being freakishly good. now, for 66-61:

66. Atlantis: The Lost Empire - 5/10

65. Home on the Range - 5/10

64. Recess: School's Out - 5/10

63. A Goofy Movie - 5.5/10

62. Gnomeo and Juliet - 5.5/10

61. A Christmas Carol (2009 movie with Jim Carrey) - 5.5/10

I liked Atlantis: The Lost Empire and Gnomeo and Juliet.

I haven't seen the rest, but I've heard that Home on the Range is terrible.

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
i dont know if anyone did. my yt buddy never even heard of it. anyway, next batch of six movies, 60-55:

60. The Black Cauldron - 5.5/10

59. Pocahontas - 6/10

58. The Tigger Movie - 6/10

57. Dinosaur - 6/10

56. Robin Hood - 6/10

55. Meet the Robinsons - 6.5/10

I love Disney's Robin Hood, and I liked Meet the Robinsons a lot more than I thought I would. I haven't seen it in a long time, but I vaguely remember liking The Black Cauldron too.

The Tigger Movie and Pocahontas are both on my watchlist.

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
wow. i guess i shouldnt be shocked. Jack and Jill has fans, so why not Strange Magic? well, next six are here, 54-49:

54. Treasure Planet - 6.5/10

53. The Aristocats - 6.5/10

52. Make Mine Music - 6.5/10

51. Piglet's Big Movie - 6.5/10

50. The Rescuers Down Under - 7/10

49. Pooh's Heffalump Movie - 7/10

we are about to hit a bunch of goodies soon!

I watched Treasure Planet for the Animation Countdown, and I liked it a lot. I haven't seen The Aristocats since I was a kid, but I remember loving it back then.

I want to see Pooh's Heffalump Movie because I think the Heffalump is adorable.

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
well, with some of the movies coming up soon, youll see why they showed up this early. its a decent movie, but doesnt hold up much competition with some movies that are higher up. 48-43:

48. The Sword in the Stone - 7/10

47. Fantasia - 7/10

46. The Hunchback of Notre Dame - 7.5/10

45. Fun and Fancy Free - 7.5/10

44. Teacher's Pet - 7.5/10

43. Peter Pan - 7.5/10

and when i return in a few minutes, prepare for a bunch of 8/10s!

I think The Sword in the Stone is a very underrated movie. I like Disney's Peter Pan too.

Fantasia has some parts that are brilliant, but some parts aren't nearly as good. The Sorcerer's Apprentice is one of the few Mickey Mouse videos I like.

I haven't seen the rest.

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
id love to see it. disney is mostly good about making good animated movies. and now, the onslaught of 8/10s begins, with 42-37:

42. The Emperor's New Groove - 8/10

41. Bolt - 8/10

40. The Rescuers - 8/10

39. Hercules - 8/10

38. Mulan - 8/10

37. Alice in Wonderland (1951) - 8/10

it was around this point that i had the most trouble ordering these movies.

I liked The Emperor's New Groove a lot, despite not liking both David Spade and Patrick Warburton.

I'm surprised to see Disney's Alice in Wonderland so low on your list. It's one of Disney's best movies. I also liked Bolt a lot.

I think I saw Mulan, but I don't remember much about it. Maybe it's time for a rewatch?

I haven't seen the other two movies.

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
it is a fun watch. a bit mad at times, but that suits it well. 36-31:

36. The Princess and the Frog - 8/10

35. The Fox and the Hound - 8/10

34. Wreck-It Ralph - 8/10

33. Lilo & Stitch - 8/10

32. Saludos Amigos - 8/10

31. Tangled - 8/10

as i said, onslaught of 8/10s.

The only two movies I've seen from this set are Wreck-It Ralph and Lilo & Stitch, and they should both be much higher on the list. (They would probably both be top 10 Disney movies for me, maybe even top 5.)

Tangled and The Princess and the Frog are both on my watchlist.

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
i think its a movie that most everyone likes or loves. definitely worth a watch for anyone who hasnt seen it. 30-25:

30. Frankenweenie - 8/10

29. The Great Mouse Detective - 8/10

28. Frozen - 8/10

27. Big Hero 6 - 8/10

26. Tarzan - 8.5/10

25. Winnie the Pooh (2011) - 8.5/10

getting down to the cream of the crop!

I loved Frozen and Big Hero 6. I liked Frankenweenie too.

The Great Mouse Detective has been recommended to me by a couple of people here, so it's been on my watchlist for a while.

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
24-19 now:

24. The Jungle Book - 8.5/10

23. The Lion King - 9/10

22. Melody Time - 9/10

21. The Three Caballeros - 9/10

20. DuckTales: The Movie - Treasure of the Lost Lamp - 9/10

19. Moana - 9/10

I love The Jungle Book, but it's more for the songs than for the movie itself.

I like The Lion King, and I seem to like it more and more with each rewatch.

DuckTales: The Movie - Treasure of the Lost Lamp is on my watchlist because it looks like an Indiana Jones spoof from the DVD cover.

I haven't seen Moana yet, but it's on my watchlist, (as soon as I can find the DVD at a good price.)

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
Moana is my number 2 movie of what i call "21st disney animated disney". that covers 2001 to the present day, so that should say something about it! 18-13:

18. Lady and the Tramp - 9/10

17. Bambi - 9/10

16. Who Framed Roger Rabbit? - 9/10

15. Sleeping Beauty - 9/10

14. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (1977) - 9/10

13. The Little Mermaid - 9/10

the top 12 are what i would consider freakishly good, so expect 9.5/10 and 10/10 from this point forward.

These are all great movies in this set, but my favorites are Bambi and Who Framed Roger Rabbit?.

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
12-7, the lower group of the best of the bunch:

12. The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad - 9.5/10

11. James and the Giant Peach - 9.5/10

10. The Nightmare Before Christmas - 9.5/10

9. Aladdin - 9.5/10

8. Beauty and the Beast - 9.5/10

7. Fantasia - 9.5/10

only 6 left!

Beauty and the Beast is easily the best movie in this set, with The Nightmare Before Christmas being the second best here.

I like both James and the Giant Peach and Aladdin, but I think they're both too high on the list.

I haven't seen The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad.

Wasn't Fantasia already listed at #47? Was that supposed to be Fantasia 2000?

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
alright, time to wrap this up. 6-1:

6. Dumbo - 9.5/10

5. Cinderella - 9.5/10

4. 101 Dalmatians - 10/10

3. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs - 10/10

2. Zootopia - 10/10

1. Pinocchio - 10/10

Zootopia came close to being my number 1 pick, but theres no denying the staying power of Pinocchio!

These are all great movies, but IMO, they're all too high on the list except for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and maybe Zootopia.

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
oh! one last thing, before i leave for a bit: which of the following should i do next?

1. star trek movies

2. james bond movies

3. dreamworks animated movies

let me know and ill get onto it asap!

Personally, I'd be interested in either a Dreamworks Animated Movies list or a Star Trek movies list, but I'm probably in the minority. I think most of the MoFos might prefer a James Bond movies list.

Wasn't Fantasia already listed at #47? Was that supposed to be Fantasia 2000?
yes, my apologies. 47 is meant to be Fantasia 2000. ill see about fixing that if i can.

and ill take your recommendations and run with them, see what happens!

Were some of these movies straight-to-DVD releases, or were they all in the theater? (I thought The Jungle Book 2 was a straight-to-DVD release.)
shockingly, all of those movies hit theaters. not sure for how long, but i checked and double-checked. some of their theater-release choices are probably more questionable than their direct-to-dvd choices, if i may be honest, though its been a while.

so, over the past few weeks, ive been reviewing and ranking disney movies that were released in theaters from Snow White to Moana, and now i want to show you what i rate and where i rank these movies. there are 78 in total, and ill unveil them 6 at a time, if thats alright. heres 78-73:

78. Strange Magic (2015) - 2/10

77. Doug's 1st Movie (1999) - 2.5/10

76. The Jungle Book 2 (2003) - 3/10

75. Planes (2013) - 3/10

74. The Wild (2006) - 3.5/10

73. Valiant (2005) - 4/10

will unveil the next six in a little bit if i dont pass out first.
Of these, I have seen Doug's 1st Movie, The Jungle Book 2, and The Wild. Doug's 1st Movie and The Wild were pretty bad, while The Jungle Book 2 I would say is in that awkward bit between bad and just subpar (if that makes sense)

okay, i passed out before i could add the next six. heres 72-67:

72. Chicken Little - 4/10

71. Mars Needs Moms - 4.5/10

70. Brother Bear - 4.5/10

69. Oliver & Company - 4.5/10

68. Planes: Fire and Rescue - 4.5/10

67. Return to Never Land - 5/10

ill return in a few minutes (promise) for the next six.
I've seen all of these except the Planes movie (you can thank Cars for driving me away from this type of cartoon movie) and Mars Needs Moms (trailer just looked bad to me).

Chicken Little is mediocre, in my opinion. Not bad, but definitely not winning any awards.

Brother Bear and Oliver and Company are decent, leaning towards good territory. Shame to see them so low on this list!

Return to Never Land is in the same boat as The Jungle Book 2, though I preferred The Jungle Book 2.
