Robots will never be able to dominate the world since it's impossible to program emotions, of which determination is one. AI is too stupid to take over anything. It can do what it's programmed to do, and naught else. Sorry.
Did single-celled life need emotions to take over the world?
An AI doesn't need to have an inner-life. It just needs to act like it cares about something (e.g., it just needs directives regardless of whether it "feels" the weight of it's directives as "good" intuitively).
