Ever since watching one of my favorite westerns, "Hombre", I just had to see who pulled off an absolutely perfect performance as a Mexican bandit. I was shocked to find out he wasn't a Mexican at all, but quite a prolific black actor with a long movie career. His name is Frank Silvera. He was amazing, coming off as comical as he was the nasty bandit. What a role. "I've not had bellyache like this since I'm a little boy!" was his complaint after being shot in the stomach by Hombre (Paul Newman).

Of course there's always Eli Wallach in "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly" as Tuco. This time a white guy who I was once convinced was a Mexican actor.
