"Honor is not in the Weapon. It is in the Man"
Laura Vandervoort (Smallville) and Hannah Anderson (Reign) will star in the eighth film of the Saw film series, directed by Michael and Peter Speirig from a script by Pirahna 3D writers Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger.

The film is supposed to be released sometime around Halloween.

They really needed to stop at 1.

The first film was close to ground-breaking. Edge of the seat, thrilling, disturbing.
The ending was perfect... and left it on a "what happens" note, similar to Carpenter's The Thing... then they decided to tell the audience what happened rather than leave as is and they just turned the whole thing into a torture porn series.

28 days...6 hours...42 minutes...12 seconds
This series is full of too many retcons for me to enjoy them as a whole.

Meh never got the hate for these. I watch them for the stories and lore they bring with each one as they all connect in different ways with the characters. It's awesome they were able to get most of the actors to return for the sequels in different capacities whether it was a cameo or main role. I understand the common torture porn insult they get but I don't watch them for the shock value or to see people in pain. Some of the traps are pretty interesting though too you gotta admit.

movies can be okay...
I'll definitely seek this out once it comes out, just because I absolutely adore the saw franchise due to how hilarious it is.

Last time I checked Saw 1-6 are still guilty pleasure movies that are fun and I love the story even for how crazy it became. It is especially the core story of Jigsaw and his character that really makes these movies.

7 was utter crap though and only the duo directors have me interested a bit in this new one. I'll wait for some trailers....

The song they use is awesome. The clip with the cop car getting destroyed by the water is really intriguing me. Also the bit where the five people with the helmets are being pulled towards the chains, one of them is asleep, hilarious!

It's probably still gonna be crap though.
