Welcome to the human race...
Just to be clear, what exactly do you consider to be the "big WOW scenes" in each particular DCEU movie?

MoS - Introduction to Krypton, learning to fly, battle of Smallville, battle of Metropolis (even though it's destruction porn, it's still a spectacle), the tornado scene...... yes I'm joking

BvS - Metropolis opening, Kryptonite heist, BvS, the warehouse scene (best scene of 2016 for me), the CGIfest trinity finale (again, still a spectacle)

Suicide Squad.......... ummmmmm, Deadshot target practice was a well shot scene, other than that there wasn't anything I thought was a "wow" really

I'm not old, you're just 12.
Going tomorrow with a group of friends, cannot wait! I wish there was a cameo for Lynda Carter somewhere in it, but maybe in the sequel? My GF and I watch Wonder Woman the TV show every Saturday night on METV, and we've been excited for this one since it was announced. Has to be better than Batman V Superman: Dawn of Boredom, right? (I actually enjoyed Suicide Squad, but it was still underwhelming, to be honest.) I don't care if DC does their version of the Marvel movies or whatever, I'm just happy to go see Wonder Woman in the cinema.

I really loved the "learning to fly" sequence from MoS. It was the closest to live action DBZ I've ever seen.

I'd just like to say I liked the part in BvS when Jesse Eisenberg said "the red capes are coming, the red capes are coming" in a creepy high-pitched voice and when he puts the candy in that other guy's mouth!

And Wonder Woman?

And Wonder Woman?
No man's land is the big one IMO, maybe others will think that the finale is, the Themyscira action was good too. I just prefer the big ones from MoS and BvS, WW feels like it took less risks maybe? But with positive reviews etc it was obviously a good thing

This might just do nobody any good.
Wasn't that the problem with MoS and BvS, though?

I haven't seen WW yet but I thought the issue was that those previous films were, essentially, loosely held together montages. Big Moments™ that served only themselves and not the overall story (of which, more in the latter than the former, there wasn't much of to begin with).

If we're risking cinematic splash pages for the sake of coherence then that sounds fine with me.

don't get me wrong, i agree that MoS and BvS deserved to be better films, but the good outweighed the bad for me. i don't want my CBM's to go the Michael Bay route, but the action has to be done right

This might just do nobody any good.
Fair enough.

I'll see about the movie itself tomorrow, hopefully.

Have you seen Wonder Woman yet?

WARNING: "Kind of spoilers? Maybe not though?" spoilers below
Dragon Ball Z is the perfect description for the last fight scene in Wonder Woman.

Sweet. Now I will definitely be day oneing this at the Caja de Rojo.

Ok...I'm not really a superhero movie type of person, but this guy is really making me want to watch this movie.

I don't know about this guy. Ima wait to hear what Kevin Smith has to say about it. He is rarely impressed by these movies.

Lmfao! Yeah, his "cumsplosions" are so low key

This is by far the best DC film so far. Well in the new DCEU. Not really even close to me.

MOS was too much for me. I just think Superman doesn't translate well on screen to me. At least its really hard to make him feel legit, hard to explain. He is too invincible. They did the best they could I suppose.

BvS was super choppy. I feel like there was a good movie in there somewhere. It was like a block of wood that needed to be widdled down.

Suicide Squad was just an unforgivable mess to me.

WW felt like a film. Jenkins and Gadot had a grasp for the character. Gadot is WW and you feel it. She caught a lot of **** when casted but she had 3 things going for her in retrospect.

1.) Her natural accent made her feel like she was from this exotic far away place. Masterful thinking.
2.) Even though she was rail thin when casted she is damn near 6 foot. Her height made her feel powerful and is evident.
3.) Lastly, well she is as beautiful as a goddess. Effortless beauty.

Also this isn't some man hating tribute, which it could have easily dissolved into. Which I so appreciated. When they do take shots its clever. Wonder Woman going into No Mans Land is freaking brilliant which I was totally on board with. I didn't see Ghostbusters but I heard it was obnoxiously in your face man hate. All for men being put in their place if it doesn't hit me over the head with it.

Pine was spectacular. Played and written beautifully. Jenkins knows what the hell she is doing. 3rd act was a little bloated but it still had a lot of punch to it. The mistakes are forgiveable because you care so damn much. The film will stay with you for a while after you leave. Hopefully they get JL right and carry the momentum into Aquaman because they seem to be doing him right too.

Not sure where you heard that (though I think I can guess), but I've seen Ghostbusters and could contest the idea that it only amounts to "obnoxiously in your face man hate". The female Ghostbusters face off against the same kind of obstructive government employees and skeptics and whoever else that the original Ghostbusters did, but it's easy to construe as "man-hate" when all of their adversaries happen to be men - just as they were in the original. Having the villain be the kind of disaffected male loner who you'd normally associate with mass shootings or yelling at women on the Internet is supposed to reflect the toxic side of male mentality, whereas having the only genuinely nice/helpful man in the movie be an incompetent doofus effectively shames the "smarter" men who still don't show any respect to the Ghostbusters. If this movie can be said to hate men, then it at least goes to show that the men who are hated deserve it.

It's not like Wonder Woman is any different in this regard when it reserves similar contempt for other male authority figures like the generals who needlessly send soldiers to die. At least the men that make up the rest of Wonder Woman's little squad all tend to be marginalised in one way or another, whether it's because of their race (Sameer/Chief) or their mental health (Charlie). Even Steve, the all-American soldier, still has his strengths and weaknesses that alternately defy and play into the flaws associated with most of the male characters in this film. It needs to deconstruct masculinity and all its problems (and it does have a lot of problems) in order to better reconstruct it in a way that fits with the idealism that Wonder Woman embodies, and the fact that it does it so well is one of the movie's greatest strengths.
