World War Z 2

Tools

I gotta admit, being a big zombie fan, I was surprisingly not really that into World War Z from a few years ago and was even less thrilled for a sequel, but World War Z 2 was pulled from its release date in June and I can't believe this but now reports are circulating that DAVID FINCHER is "interested" in helming the film, and if he climbs on board, I'm totally down and I'll be way more excited for this film. What do you all think? Would you be down for a World War Z 2 directed by David Fincher? The man is one of my favorite directors and he's not confirmed for it but it may just be a matter of time.

David Fincher directing a World War Z sequal? I would see that in a heartbeat, but is seems incredibly unlikely; he turned down directing Steve Jobs because he wasn't given enough money and creative control.

I really didn't like World War Z. However, if Fincher jumps on it, well, I would have to see it, now wouldn't I?

He should just give Craig the money he wants, and finally do The Girl Who Played with Fire. I want to see that more.

Hell Yeah - Will see.

I liked WW Z. It was a more militarized approach on what was the most lethal version of a zombie thus far, those Zack Snyders DOTD & 28 Days Later zombies aint got nothin on the WW Z zombies

Romeros' & TWD zombies are in the rear with the gear.

Yes he's a good director. I'd like to see what he can do with the sequel.

Yeah I was not into the first one but some of the scenes individually were quite entertaining, I liked the beginning and when they are on the plane but as a whole it didn't come together. I would watch a sequel.

I liked WWZ as well tbh.
I've heard a lot of the dislike is down to comparing it to the book but I never read it myself.

Be interesting to see what the sequel brings should it ever arrive.

We've gone on holiday by mistake
Cluster**** of a film. They really trainwrecked the book. Could have been great.

I am totally over zombies but I liked the fast moving zombies in this. Really enjoyed this movie..

dont know if it's true or not because I saw it in a brangelina bashing thread on the other place, the sequel has been canned? Anyone know anything about this?

We Make Nonsense Of Investing
I watch anything zombie-related so I'll watch this. The original was nothing like the book. The only thing they had in common was the title.

Yeah, I loved the book, I thought that was a great idea, just a war correspondent traveling the globe collecting "War stories" firsthand from "heroes of the zombie apocalypse".. Never centering on one character (Besides the narrator) no group, no lulls, just bad assed scene after bad assed scene...

I got done watching World War Z and walked out thinking "What the hell was THAT??"

The best I could figure was with his "Zombie Survival handbook" they just wanted to capitalize on Max Brooks sudden popularity in the genre, OR they just thought World War Z was just a really cool title. but either way they really missed the boat not doing an actual adaption of the book.

I think that is why I didn't like it that much, it's a lot different from the book. The book has povs from multiple characters all over the world. Similar to A Song of Ice & Fire.
