Good whiskey make jackrabbit slap de bear.
At the moment...

1. Raging Bull (1980)
2. GoodFellas (1990)
3. Cape Fear (1991)
4. Taxi Driver (1976)
5. The Last Waltz (1978)
6. Casino (1995)
7. The Departed (2006)
8. After Hours (1985)
9. Gangs Of New York (2002)
10. The Aviator (2004)

And then it's a tie between Bringing Out The Dead & Shutter Island for least favourite. It may be surprising that Cape Fear has been bumped down to number three, but the technical aspects of Raging Bull & GoodFellas are perfect. Substance and style wise, they're both masterpieces. Cape Fear is still one of my all time favourite movies, and Taxi Driver is a very, very good film. The Last Waltz, Casino, The Departed & After Hours are other favourites, and the rest are superfluous; they don't match the quality of the first seven I listed.

I'd go with Taxi Driver then The Departed ... those flicks I could watch over and over and never get bored. Simply marvelous flicks and at different points in his career. Fantastic stuff.

Raging Bull.

And at the end of fear, oblivion
Cape Fear! I love that movie!

I rewatched Cape Fear the other night, just feels like a TV movie Don't get it
I've never gotten the love for Cape Fear either. I'm glad someone else feels the same way.

28 days...6 hours...42 minutes...12 seconds
1. Goodfellas
2. Taxi Driver
3. The Departed
4. Shutter Island
5. Casino
6. After Hours
7. The Aviator
8. Cape Fear
9. Gangs of New York
10. Raging Bull

That's the general order. Goodfellas is my favourite where Raging Bull is near the bottom I've seen Bringing Out The Dead as well, but if I rated that higher than Bull, we'd have a mutiny on our hands.

3, 4, 5 are interchangeable for me.

The best thing about it is The Simpsons episode.

WT- which recent films in particular?

I voted for Taxi Driver, although I think that The King of Comedy is quite underrated.

The Departed and The Aviator. Actually, I could make a point for everything after Kundun. Strange though, I really enjoy his recent documentaries.

I'm going with The Departed, though I like Goodfellas and Taxi Driver as well. Oh and casino. I don't know why, but raging bull really wasn't my cup of tea. Decent movie, but I didn't think great.
