I really enjoy most of his films that I've seen, but top 5 for me at this time:

1. Broadway Danny Rose
2. Annie Hall
3. Sleeper
4. Zelig
5. Bananas

Sorry, but none. He's my least favorite actor.

Victim of The Night
Sorry, but none. He's my least favorite actor.
You just kinda blew my mind, I wasn't even thinking of him as an actor.

He thought he was one.

Society ennobler, last seen in Medici's Florence
With probably the most notable filmography in the history of cinema, it is impossible to list only 5 of his films.
I think only 3-4 of them can't be called masterpieces.
I've seen most of his films numerous times (some of them 10-12 times and can't stop do it). Woody is also superb when act in his works. It took me some time to get used to when he stopped acting.
For a man like me who just live with the art in his veins, I can't imagine the life without a new movie by Allen every year and constant re-watch of all titles in his catalog.

Anyway, here are my top 10 listed chronologically:

• Take the Money and Run
• Annie Hall
• Broadway Danny Rose
• Hannah and Her Sisters
• Radio Days
• Husbands and Wives
• Deconstructing Harry
• Vicky Cristina Barcelona
• Whatever Works
• You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger
---
Damn, can't stop...what a feast...

• The Curse of the Jade Scorpion
• To Rome With Love
• A Rainy Day in New York

The trick is not minding
Annie Hall
Stardust Memories (surprised how much this has people split on it)
The Purple Rose of Cairo
Love and Death
Crimes and Misdemeanors

Got a bunch of blind spots but here we go:

Annie Hall
Sleeper
Bananas
Broadway Danny Rose
Play it Again, Sam (an honorary Allen movie, if not one he actually directed)

"How tall is King Kong ?"
Zelig
Midnight in Paris
Bullets over Broadway
Love and Death
Bananas, or... dunno, maybe I should mention also one of the Manhattan/Annie Hall subgenre, some are very good but my memories of them have merged a bit.

Only seen three, so three it is....

  1. Blue Jasmine
  2. Bananas
  3. Annie Hall

Don't @ me

5. Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex But Were Afraid To Ask

Play it Again, Sam (an honorary Allen movie, if not one he actually directed)
Better than Annie Hall, imo.

Annie Hall was a pretty good Sam reboot.

I've only seen Manhattan and Annie Hall. I think the former film is great and the latter film is good.
Since this thread is active again, I might as well update this:

1. Manhattan
2. Hannah And Her Sisters
3. Crimes and Misdemeanors
4. Annie Hall
