The Mandalorian (Star Wars)

This might just do nobody any good.
Jon Favreau will write, direct and executive produce a live-action series set in the Star Wars galaxy for Disney’s forthcoming streaming service.

After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.

Game of Thrones’ and Narcos’ Pedro Pascal is rumored to be playing the title character but nothing’s been confirmed yet.

Sorry if this is a repeat. If there’s an already existing thread for this (I assume there is but nothing came up in the search), please merge. Thank you.

This might just do nobody any good.

Series directors include Dave Filoni, Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Rick Famuyiwa (the underrated Dope), Bryce Dallas Howard and Taika Waititi.

We've gone on holiday by mistake
Decent cast so far.

Just sayin’... they better be playing Hutts.

This looks more promising than the movies. Good scoop Saunch

For me, when the Ewoks first appeared onscreen the franchise never was the same. They put marketing toys to kids ahead of storytelling. Hoping this series doesnt follow suit.

“Sugar is the most important thing in my life…”
That looks great, but who is getting Disney + ? Episodic release as well. There's too much content already.

A system of cells interlinked
Caught the first episode. Was pretty good. Definitely more Rogue One than TLJ. Didn't blow me away, but will probably continue watching.

This was my favorite scene by far:

Allot of the Youtube lovers of the Last Jedi and Force Awakens dont seem fond of the First Episode. Some even said it validates why Dave Filoni should not run Lucasfilm.

What does directing anything have to do with Running Lucasfilm as a creative stand point. Filoni is perfect for creating things. Directing SW has nothing to do with the other job. I liked what Dave Filoni and Favrou have Started here.

Make no mistake Filoni and Favour likely created the story for the whole season well the outline and likely Season 2.

They are upset with the lack of female characters. It's daft how plot or story has almost become secondary to some over virtue signalling.

I watched both the episodes and found them to be interesting. It comes across as a space western. Not as great as Firefly, which is the best space western I can think of, but Mandalorian is intriguing enough. And it's definitely better than Force Awakens and Last Jedi.

The only thing interesting about all this is Werner Herzog words for Variety. I guess not everyone in that business is a hypocrite.

As well as Jim Jarmusch he never saw Star Wars, neither did I, neither plan on.

Only 15 minutes in to the first episode and already feel this is what episodes 7-9 should have been like.
