What are your favorite 80s movies?

Tools

Since I'm done my 70's favorite movies list, it's time to move on to the 80's. I know I made a top 30 80's movies list thread before with a video before (deleted it recently) but now I'm deciding to redo the 80's list and possibly making it favorite 50 this time or might just be 30, but will see. Feel free to give me some 80's movies suggestions. Here's the thread link for my favorite 20 70's movies if you want to check it out https://www.movieforums.com/communit...ad.php?t=51492

80's is one of my favorite decades for movies so It's going to be fun exploring movies that I haven't seen yet and re watch some of them that I think might make the list. Seen 101 80's movies so far.

Read the stuff below before you comment plz

The type of movies I'm looking for
1. Language: English. Movies that are English with some foreign in it is acceptable also.
2. Genre: it don't matter as long as it's not Musicals.

My FAVORITE 80s movie is The Last Dragon. Far from cinematic art, but it's such a cult classic. Just a fun movie that never, ever gets old. Same with Commando, another bad movie that's a lot of fun.

Some other favorites from the 80s, and most of these actually are quality films:

The King of Comedy: My favorite Scorsese film.

I like how most of the list is horror movies, just in time to since Halloween is around the corner. I see you got a bond movies on there, were they any other good ones in the 80s as well?

Do you mean other Bond movies? The only other ones were Living Daylights and Octopussy, the former's okay but the latter is boring (the only Moore I don't like).

Oh, this could be a very, very long list..

All of them, good or bad. The 80's represented some misunderstood cinematic notions (and some rightfully dismissed). I still feel like the 1980's aesthetic hasn't completely been explored (whatever that means), and believe that is why many artists still use the "look" in today's productions. Today is all very dull, de-saturated, and if glitzy, almost boring and shizophrenic...aside from a castrated uniformity and homogenization. The 80's was brimming with color and design, tricks of the light..all sorts of things. Bold, adventurous, FUN!

Yeah, the list would be too long.

Can I just say its annoying when people put out literally every decent film from the 80's rather than just their own top 10 or so.

that is all

Oh it's not an official bond movie, I'll pass on that movie then
Pamela Salem was a very good Moneypenny I think – she would have been preferable in the Dalton films.
