Movies about coming of age?

Tools

I have seen almost every coming of age film, and I swear I can't find any I haven't seen. I want more, though. Care to give some favorites?

If you haven't, I heartily recommend Hayao Miyazaki's Spirited Away.

There are some really good Coming of Age TV Series. Check out Skam, Freaks and Geeks, Skins, My So-Called Life, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, O Ninho, My Mad Fat Diary, Daria, if you haven't.

A system of cells interlinked
I'll second Holden's recommendation of Breaking Away, which is hands down my favorite in the genre.

Stand By Me
The Breakfast Club
Sixteen Candles
Pretty in Pink
Dazed and Confused
Almost Famous
Mask
The Virgin Suicides

Bright light. Bright light. Uh oh.
When I Grow Up (1951) Low-key, forgotten and surprisingly relevant today. Needs to be restored to pristine condition; available now only on YouTube.

I'm not sure what exactly counts as such but here's some I think fit the bill (and yes, due to me being a horror fan many of these are horror themed):

The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane (1976)
Let the Right One In (2008)
Lťon: The Professional (1994)
Ginger Snaps (2000)
Kick-Ass (2010)
The Reflecting Skin (1990)
Tigers Are Not Afraid (2017)
The Dark (2018)
Lemora: A Child’s Tale of the Supernatural (1973)
Tideland (2005)
Carrie (1976)
The Falling (2014)
Carny (1980)

These are probably a bit more marginal but at least they have similar themes:

Poison for the Fairies (1984)
Forbidden Games (1952)
Valerie and Her Week of Wonders (1970)
The Prodigy (2017)
Dark Touch (2013)

Also for the Freaks and Geeks series mentioned by @Holden Pike.
