What DVD(s) Are You Gonna Watch Next?

^ Definitely a nice choice with The Long Good Friday, an absolute classic in the crime/gangster field.

I just got a blu ray through the post today from America, Burning Palms. I like very dysfunctional characters in film and the trailer looked full of this sort of stuff, plus I'm a fan of the actress Rosamund Pike.

I'm looking at the back of it now and a quote on the back sums it up perfectly from the look of the film:

"It's like Crash(2004), but with crazy and perverted people..."

So will be watching this tonight.

Watch:
The Shining (I bought in July but haven't seen it yet.)
Lord of the Rings (We've got the entire trilogy for four years but I never really got around to watch them.)
The Godfather (I started watching it but turned it off.)
Jaws
Der Untergang

Rewatch:
Blood Diamond
What's Eating Gilbert Grape (for the 5th time)
One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest
Zodiac
Gangs of New York

Wow! Classic watching there, Matcat. I wouldn't bother with the first two, but from The Godfather down you're watching some great films. I've not seen Gilbert Grape in years.

Good whiskey make jackrabbit slap de bear.
School holidays, so I rented a few films I've been meaning to see, and a couple I wanted to re-watch. But so far, the first few films I've watched (Fair Game, Equilibrium) have been quite disappointing.

Anyways, the films I'm gonna see this week include The Specialist, The Bourne Ultimatum, A Clockwork Orange, Brick, Watchmen, Sharktopus, Syriana, Sunset Boulevard, Awakenings, Dial M For Murder, Vertigo, Alien & Three Colours Trilogy.

Gilbert Grape's an awesome movie! I'm looking forward to watch the others too

There are those who call me...Tim.
Not a DVD, but I bought a PS3 recently and I'm now switching my Lovefilm renting allegiances to Blu-Ray. So far I've seen The Dark Knight, Star Trek (2009), Iron Man and 300, and today I received Commando and Predator.

To be honest, as amazing as TDK, Star Trek ad Iron Man were, I'm mostly renting Predator to see what the DNR is like. I've seen screenshots of an extremely polished and waxy looking Arnie, and I want to see how that looks in motion.
