You can't win an argument just by being right!
Where are you finding this show? I never heard of it.
It's a netflix original. I hadnt heard of it either until some BB fans started maniacally raving about it.

You can't win an argument just by being right!
Thanks! Will check it out then.
I hope you enjoy.

That elusive hide-and-seek cow is at it again
Gotta rewatch Westworld first, though! I need to make a graphic chart for @Sedai to better illustrate my views on character arcs. See, I haven't forgotten about you!!!

lol

Westworld should be named Rewatchworld.

I only have 2 left. Episode 7 has a pretty epic scene. I might have yelped a lil bit.

Finished it last night. I saw someone post that it's like breaking bad but different. I dont think it's like BB at all to be honest, unless you count dealing with the big bad from a cartel. Totally different. Violence - tick. Filthy language - tick but I didnt find it overdone. Seemed to work well for rednecks and stressed out city slickers. Sex - not just shoved in there for absolutely no reason and not porny. Well shot and just feels like it is what it is in a natural flow. Skin - well there is a strippers'
bar so yes, but once again it felt natural. Doesnt have the light, hilarious moments of BB but I dont think it needs it.

I just could not get past the first 30 minutes of Breaking Bad but every one raves about it. I guess I'll have to give it a couple hours to see if I can get what's up.

This certainly is not like Breaking Bad at all - but it is pretty damn good.

The last 3 episodes were great and everything played out very well.

I really hated the "Wendy" character the whole series with the exception of what happened at the end - it was unpredictably predicable.

I would totally recommend this to thriller lovers.

How so?

Her dead animal toss was cool and all but she seemed so "damp"
My mistake. I'm just into the 4th episode and was thinking of Ruth ( For some reason I thought that she had introduced herself as " Wendy " at the strip club audition ). Wendy ( the wife ) I can't stand. Reminds me a friend's uppity wife. Unreasonably entitled and demanding and no feelings of remorse.

Unreasonably entitled and demanding and no feelings of remorse.

Eh? How so? She's a city slicker who was dragged to redneck riviera by her dead fish husband who launders millions for a mexican cartel trying to keep her kids alive and living with an old dying man who walks around with his arse swinging in the breeze. Not exactly a pleasant person I'd like to meet for lunch every week but she's a great mother and is fast a thinker as Marty is. They're perfect together. No feelings of remorse? Maybe I'm speaking from hindsight but I think you have that a bit wrong. They're both just closed off from themselves and each other.

Ruth is great but soooo damaged.

What's the difference between a redneck and a hillbilly? We dont have those terms here.

He was faith full for 22 years. She threw her cheating in his face. Not only did she not care but she wasn't even aware of how much it bothered him. Hell, she felt she was entitled to cheat. The ironic thing is that she is nothing special to begin with. Miscast for that role, which I think required a sexier looking woman.

Hell, she felt she was entitled to cheat.

How did you get that? Entitled - the rage of the MRA. As for she should have been sexier - what does that even mean? Linney was perfectly cast. You dont like her and that's fine but your rant does not compute. Sorry.

Let me guess - you stopped watching breaking bad because Skylar made you want to kill someone because she was so 'entitled'. LOL. The 'I fked Ted' scene would have sent you over the edge, dude.

Like I said. I couldn't get into Breaking Bad. The first 30 minutes were boring, so I stopped watching it.
I am a little confused. I don't know if you are a boy or a girl but it does not really matter; you should know what sexy means.
Linney certainly is not sexy, at least to me, physically nor the way she moves and behaves.
If I was the casting director, she would not have even made it to the audition. She is a fine actress but was cast against type for this role.
As I am reading the script, I all ready know what I am looking for and she is not it.
Granted, people differ in their tastes so this is just my own subjective view. A seductive adultress milf is integral to the story line and I just don't see that from her.
