Great review. Although I can state categorically that Anderson wasn't aspiring to create a masterpiece, since he said that Magnolia is the best film he'll ever make. He made one though, whether he likes it or not.

I know what you all mean. A lot of powerful men seem to be sociopaths. Was this the Daniel Plainview character?
