Ask the oracle and I shall answer.

Yes this is a wink toward SC threads.
No, I don't need the attention.

Just interested in what the new(ish) MoFo community will come up with.

I'm a big fan of horror and I know you are too. Want to talk about horror? I know you do. Okay.

What got you into horror?

What's your favorite kind of horror?

What's your least favorite kind of horror?

Any interesting philosophies about horror? I.E. what is the appeal of horror, what causes us to be scared by a movie, anything like that? Might be a lame question but if you've ever read Danse Macabre by Stephen King, you know what I'm trying to get at. I love stuff like this.

Always

What got you into horror?
Two things. The Manson trial on tv and the absolute furor over the Amityville horror. Art imitating life in a very real sense.

What's your favorite kind of horror?
Psychological. I'm a thinking person's horror fan. It has to be thoughtful enough that I can put myself into the picture.

What's your least favorite kind of horror?
Gore/torture porn. I love people in general. Suffering for suffering's sake isn't really my bag.

I bought Danse Macabre when it came out new. I am very much a student of the universe. I believe in Yin and Yang and I also believe that, in general, people focus on the light side of existence (the yang) without making an effort to understand the Yin. They are symbiotic. Existence is a dark undertaking once one realizes that life feeds upon life. In order for one being to live, many must die. It's an accord with nature. Film that deals with these themes (horror) are a way of making sense of this and a way of reconciling one's existence.

This is not a question, but I like your Falling Angel avatar. That is the same edition of William Hjortsberg's novel that I have on my shelf.

Oh, and I know who I am. I know who I am.

Sorry if I'm rude but I'm right
At first I thought the title says "I'm a 14 years old mofo veteran".

This is nothing close to an SC thread and I don't need the attention.

Apart from the default answer that everyone gives with Blade Runner... what is your favourite Sci-Fi?
Alien.

It deals with things on a primal level that is akin to The Exorcist.

What is out there that we (collectively) must submit to and what must we subjugate ourselves to?

Are we meat or are we more?

Hard questions.

Thank you, it's one of my favorite tales and the book far surpasses the film.

What are your thoughts about it (in a general sense)?

Over hill, over dale,
Through bush, through briar,
Over park, over pale,
Through flood, through fire,
I do wander every where,
Swifter than the moon’s sphere
