Based on the truth.. and lies.
Hellboy (2019) -

compared to Blade: Trinity and Pacific Rim: Uprising, this is arguably the best attempt to follow up a GDT franchise entry

I wish they would have allowed Guillermo del Toro and Ron Perlman make the third film, They told them they were rebooting it and he couldn't.

I'm probably never gonna watch this one 😛

Based on the truth.. and lies.
[REC] (2007)

For a change good found footage horror. There are some inherent flaws with the subgenre but [REC] manages to avoid most of the big issues. Especially liked the pacing which is faster than usual and the last 20 minutes or so are very cool.

Did you like "AS ABOVE SO BELOW" ?

Yeah, you won't be missing anything more than a shallow, gory rehash of the original. I wonder if it's too late for them to pull a Ghostbusters and just announce another sequel in the original canon.

Pompeii -

I get the feeling there was something else on TV today with Kit Harington in it but I'm not sure what.

I'd be ok with that del Toro isn't done w his career, it wouldn't be like calling out a old director to do something and the film be disconnected or trying to hard like most people do in that situation

Awesome cast also not forget Selma Blair

I liked the original Hellboy, so I'd probably find it difficult accepting the new actors. I've just discovered that Ian McShane and John Hurt shared a flat together when they were starting out as actors, so that's a nice link .

Imagine those two bad boys as roommates.

Don't Look Now (1973)

Watched this due to its appearance on top-100 Horror countdown. My immediate reaction has been "is that it?" but we'll see if it grows on me before I get a proper review done. At this moment I'd say the finale was disappointing and the whole film just feels like a collection of non-related and unfulfilled implications. Acting is good though and Venice is always beautiful.

(subject to change)
You're opinion always valued pahaK. Took me 3 watches to put this up as an appreciated film. I think Roeg, Sutherland and Christie did exceptionally.

Saul fia [Son Of Saul] (László Nemes, 2015)

Quite a compelling watch even if a little lacking in credibility

Forbidden Games (1952)

A story of two children and how war and death affects their lives. Good acting by both kids and interestingly naive but still kind of twisted story in nice compact package. Wasn't sure what to expect so I guess I can call this a positive surprise.
