Haven't been able to listen to much lately. My tinnitus/hyperacusis has gotten quite bad and most music is hurting my ears atm, but I liked this a lot. The video helps:
I assure you I'm not getting or intending to get in the "Christmas mood" but I am enticed with Richard Cheese (outside the more extreme classical and metal stuff I'm also obsessed with) and this is damn good Christmas CD for what it's worth!
Despite that I love lots of Janacek's music, he also has some very original (for the time) operas. I can't unassociate this with my favorite film that it serves as the score for: "Inauguration Of The Pleasure Dome" (Kenneth Anger). When I hear the music, I see the images right in my eyes. The film is so, so ingrained in my mind so, yeah....
