I do.

Alas, I don't know why he put the blame on me. He's the host and makes the decision - I didn't force him to do anything.
I'm not putting any blame on you.

If anyone's pissed off, I'm sorry. I really don't think I rushed it that bad. There were enough votes to get these four to the Final Four.

I just couldn't stand Rawhide and Happy Days winning it all over two of my favorite themes in the whole world, so, as Tournament Master, I decided to have two winners and two runner ups so I won't go insane.

And in case GB is still upset:

In fact, here's another for winning the tournament -- YOUR FIRST TIME WINNING!!!!

THE WINNERS!!!!!

Theme from "THE MONKEES"

Nominated by SilentVamp
Way to go, Vamp! We love The Monkees! We have the shows on VHS & DVD. We also have all the music. Mostly albums & cassettes. Wow, I'm old, but not too old. I grew up watching the reruns. Once I moved from Florida, to Tennessee, no one here knew what the hell I was talking about. I couldn't believe it. I can't dog my state, though. I was actually born here.

Now I'm going to have this song stuck in my head!

They probably shouldn't have won, but... THIS WAS ABOUT THEIR LAST CHANCE TO POSSIBLY WIN.

To come this close and get destroyed by the theme to "Rawhide" or the "Happy Days" theme that only lasted two seasons out of eleven... I couldn't live with that. Best to just have two winners (and two runner ups) so you don't have to hear me bitch till the end of time.

Don't say that. They should've won. And I am gladly accepting this as a win for me.

I love The Monkees so much that the love is probably a little abnormal. I actually have all of the shows on VHS. And these are the shows when they had the marathon on MTV back in the 80's. My brother taped them for himself and I just copied them onto my own tapes. I have all of their albums. Most on LP and all on CD. Have you ever seen them in concert? I have. 5 times.

I've seen them in concert and I was fortunate enough to meet Davy Jones (and shake his hand) a couple of years before he died. It was kind of a disappointing experience, though, because he seemed cold... but if you've heard stories about Davy's depression and moodiness, that isn't totally surprising. Just when I told him I've been a huge fan all my life, he was looking down and just going, "Oh, really........."

And count me in as someone who had the TV show on VHS. DVD, too.

That is too bad, really. But I get what you're saying about why he may have acted like that.

I almost got a chance to meet him. This was way back in '86 or '87, I think. It was when he wrote that book They Made a Monkee Out of Me. He was in town signing copies of them. And there were so many people there. It wasn't funny. And we stood for HOURS. And we were literally about 5-6 people back when he decided that he was done. So, we were so close but we just didn't get there. It was frustrating because of the wait. And it was so disappointing because it just didn't happen.

I still have to get all of them on DVD. It is on my list, but other money issues just keep popping up.

Did you only see them when it was Peter, Micky and Davy? I finally saw Mike in 2012. I didn't expect them to come here so I drove down to Chicago (honestly, I thought this was going to be a short tour that lasted a few months - so I took advantage of the fact that they were going to be with Mike). But less than a year later they were here. I was so mad. I could've saved the money on gas and I wouldn't have had to drive through such thick fog when I went home! I didn't go see them then, though, because I just couldn't afford it right then - when they were here.

And as a side note, I can't hear that well out of my right ear. That is because of a Monkees concert, believe it or not. So, I have had not-so-great hearing since 1987. Who ever would've thought it would happen at a Monkees concert that would do that damage to me?!

It didn't take me long to meet him... but when I finally did... it kinda spoiled a lot. The whole "don't meet your idol" thing. The only thing that's really saved the moment now, I'm sorry to say, is the fact that Davy died and even if meeting him wasn't all that great, I still got to meet him.

Yes, I only saw those three. Never saw Mike. When I met Davy, he was by himself and he did a little concert before I met him, so I have at least been to two Davy Jones concerts.

Yikes.

I completely understand what you mean. I get it.

And that picture of Jan just forces me to have to post this.

Let's all sing together:
Thank you, girl
For making the morning brighter
Girl, for making the night time nicer
Girl, for making a better world for me
