"GORKY PARK" PLOT

I haven't read the book so maybe that's why I ask but:

What exactly is the reason why Osborne kills the 3 Russians?

Had he promised them some of the sables and wants them all for himself?
What info or leverage do they have over him? what would he care if eventually
he got all 3 into the states, plus the live sables?

Any opinions would be great!

i really enjoyed this film, quite intriguing and wonderful performances.

Victim of The Night
It's been a few years since I've seen it but I watched it a lot when I was younger.
If I remember, whether it's explicitly stated or not,
WARNING: "all dem sperlahs" spoilers below
Osborne had agreed to smuggle the three of them out of the country in exchange for help smuggling his sables. Once he had what he needed from them, they became a liability as smuggling three humans out of Russia is a helluva lot harder than smuggling out the sables and could have not only risked his entire enterprise but potentially his life. So he killed them and erased their identities so he could continue to operate without them being traced to him.
