When Strange is getting ready to go to the dinner and while he is driving Interstellar Overdrive plays. I thought you picked that up [if you saw the movie, that is].

BTW, here ya go

The Happy Ending - 9/10

If it had a better beginning, I'd give this a 10. Easily the best movie about mariage and love. Richard Brooks is the most underrated director, and keeps proving it over and over with me.

Creep (2014) - Patrick Brice

- One of my favorite found-footage ever. Atmosphere is amazing, both actors are convincing and great and MAN the ending is AWESOME. Definitely in my Top 100 and will also buy it Blu-ray. BRING ME THE SEQUEL ALREADY.

Am I the only one who thought Hacksaw Ridge wasn't terribly violent?
It was as I expected from a war film directed by Mel Gibson. Pretty violent but I've seen much worse.

Advanced screening yes.
Lucky. Or, I suppose unlucky, since it doesn't seem like you liked it very much.

I'm pretty optimistic. I didn't like the last two standalone Wolverine movies, but this one seems a lot better.

It did seem that way. It was one of the best trailers I'd seen, that first one. The movie looked great.

Shame.

The Sister of Ursula (1978)

-

A couple of sisters check into a hotel in a beautiful town in hope of finding their estranged mother. Suddenly, someone is killing off a bunch of women. I had heard that this was a pretty hardcore Giallo, but it was much more like softcore porn. There wasn't nearly enough tension or violence. If you only need to see a plethora of hot chicks and jungle bush, this is the movie for you. If you need something more, look elsewhere.

A Most Violent Year (J.C. Chandor, 2014)

This isn't the first gangster origin story espousing the American dream. It might, however, be the first which demonstrates its strength through mercy and restraint instead of a cliche, fetishistic portrayal of wealth and violence. Restraint actually serves as a valid descriptor of the filmmaking, the director only indulging for a select few scenes (the deer, the oil spill) which are so openly symbolic that they should struggle to mesh with the organic nature of the story, but whose aims are so transparent that they serve more as poetic points of emphasis than clever contrivance. As with many of these stories, its conclusion is subject to interpretation as to whether it constitutes victory or defeat, though I'd argue its one of the more compelling offerings within that category.

LOGAN (2017)

Rambo 4: Wolverine Edition.

Oof, this is a little disappointing. Hopefully it's just an anomaly.

Don't knock it until you've tried it.

Breaking Bad on Netflix. Awesome!

Army Of One

This was kind of hit and miss... more miss than hit.. I quite liked some parts in the middle but the end was ridiculous

1/5

The Accountant (Gavin O'Connor, 2016)

This could've been a tight little action vehicle that reclaims autism in the process by recharacterizing the afflicted protagonist as a superhero of sorts. The problem lies in the overly complex plot, and the abundance of needless side characters.

Women will be your undoing, Pépé

(REWATCH) Red Cliff; Theatrical/International Version
Which means this is the highly condensed version of the actual 2 movie collection that runs about 4 hours in its entirety. Some would say that this just over 2 hr version is more than enough and until the time that I may actually SEE the full and complete version, my feeling is that seeing this only makes me hungry FOR the larger/longer epic.
