MoFo's 20 Greatest Directors of All Time - #1

So the way that this will work, is you will vote for whichever director you think is "greatest" that's an option in the poll and then you'll nominate whoever you think the best director is who's not in the poll. Whoever gets the most nominations will be in the next thread.

This is the first one, so if the guy who gets nominated for the second thread wins that slot, I'll put him up against whoever won this one.

So, for example the line-up now is:

Ingmar Bergman
Akira Kurosawa
Orson Welles
Stanley Kubrick
Alfred Hitchcock

I vote Welles and nominate Scorsese.

Whoever gets the most nominations will take the place of whoever wins this poll. So yeah, nominate people.

I remember we did contest like this once. It come down to Kubrick and Scorsese in the final two, and Scorsese lost. But he lost to a great director.

But what the heck. I am game.
