Searching for a movie I was afraid to see as kid

After a successful research we did today with a movie I was searching for long time, I have another one that I want to find.

When I was kid I was watching TV and a film started.
In the first scene, a killer enters an apartment in the night with a gun. The gun has also laser pointer, which points the head of a woman in her bedroom.

After that I was afraid and did not continue.
I remembered that the title was Terminator but I did not find that scene in that famous film sequel.

Without more details that's going to be much harder to find.
Yes ChunkyMonkey and it is the only scene that I know from that movie unfortunately.
But it is a much more recent movie than the previous one.
I thought that this should be easier because it is newer.

Could you have remembered that title slightly wrong? Around the same time frame there was movie called, The Exterminator (1980) also a sequel called Exterminator 2 (1984)

Maybe "Hard to kill" (1990) ? It has similar scene in a bedroom with Mason Storm and his wife.

The mods often to it when the users don't, which is usually what happens. All good now.
