That is all that I care about.
I fear them just screwing the pooch on an involved and monumentally difficult storyline to playdough-fun-factory into a screenplay.

Frankly, I don't know how they'll pull it off. The Lynch (Smithee, lol) version is as close as I can ever see it being managed. The Weirding Module was the only way they could shortcut having a 30 hour movie.

Dune is IMO the best book ever written. Sorry, it just is. Lynch managed to pull it off. Every other try is going to make me worry.



I understand your concerns, but looking at the track record of Villeneuve I am willing to place my trust in him.

I mean subjects like Blade Runner and Arrival weren't easy, but look how he dealt with them. From the current line up of filmmakers, I see him as the best bet.
