He makes me laugh in The Count of Monte Cristo. Really over-the-top .

Claire Foy is the new Lisbeth Salander. I think she'll be good.

She's excellent but I never would have picked her for that role

I'd guess it's very different to what she'd normally get.

I'm sure she'll pull it off but there's something... soft about her, no? Something that doesnt quite fit my mental image for Lisbeth.

Yeah, my thoughts exactly, but I havent seen her in anything else. I;m sure she can do gritty and kick arse though. Will be interesting.

Well I'm sure she'll be doing all the training. In fact I think Noomi Rapace had to do a bit – what did she say – to lose her curves, her feminine shape?

Yeah, my biggest issue will be transitioning from Queen Elizabeth to... Lisbeth.

I was kind of hoping for Riley Keough or Tatiana Maslany for the role.

Tatiana Maslany – what an actor she is.

She wasn't all that 'soft' in Wolf Hall, Going Postal or Upstairs Downstairs, I think she'll be fine. It'll be interesting to see her in something that's not a costume drama

Olivia Coleman will play Elizabeth in seasons 3 and 4.



The plan was always to have different actors play the same role at different periods of their lives.

I’ve binge watched Broadchurch and more Olivia Coleman gets my utter approval.

No No No No No. Temper tantrum. She does not have the look and I'm already attached to Claire.

Watch Broadchurch. Or Hot Fuzz. She’s amazing.

I dont remember her in Hot Fuzz.

She just doesnt work for me as Liz. That show sucked me in because of Claire.

I’ll miss Claire and Matt though.
