Have watched the first 4 eps of McMafia, an 8 part Brit serial by BBC, AMC, and Cuba Pictures. It's available on AMC, Amazon ($), and streaming services.

Putting aside the fact that the series title is one of the worst in recent memory, the show is actually well done. The title is a bearded reference to international drug smuggling and other crimes and its corporate involvement being likened to McDonalds' business success.

Starring James Norton (War and Peace) and David Stathairn (The Bourne Legacy), the action takes place all over Europe, Russia, England, and India. Norton plays an investment fund head who is gradually drawn into illegal activity by powerful crime figures. IMO his part could have been better cast, but he settles into the role nicely.

The series holds one's interest, and reportedly has been green lighted for a second series.
