Wonderwall:

Because maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall

(Good call Sadesdrk BTW)
Don't I feel like the heel? I wanted to put Champagne Supernova instead of Wonderwall...but left the song title up. Oopsie.
Oasis has a bad rap, for sure...and I won't sit and defend their attitudes, but their music has some good backbeats goin' on; catchy tunes that I just can't stop singin' along to...

And here's my choices for the 5 best songs ever:

1. Innagaddadavita - Iron Butterfly
2. Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin
3. Kashmir - Led Zeppelin
4. Gimme Shelter - Rolling Stones
5. Unforgettable - Nat and Natalie Cole

Hard to narrow it to 5... I love all music. Yes, Sadie, even country
there, i'm pretending you didn't mention metallica and rush.

that list officially kicks all kinds of a$$. i am a huge floyd fan from way back, the waters years being my favorite era for them. the wall, animals, wywh, etc......... damn, that's good music. in fact, floyd and zeppelin tie as my all-time favorite bands.

the song that made me want to start playing guitar? comfortably numb. that song literally changed my life and the way i view the guitar as an instrument. nobody can pour the pure emotion and depth into every note the way gilmour does. nobody.

and HUGE cheese-head props for patti for listing the femmes . geez, you probably like the packers, too.

seriously, they rule. i have never heard a band play rock power chords through acoustic instruments and have it work so well. they're quirky, cool, and esoteric. and for the record "country death song" is the only song i've ever heard that has sent chills down my spine. (in a scary way)

The I Am Sam, soundtrack. F*cking amazing. Go get it. If you like the Beatles, you'll love all the artists who cover their songs.

Yeah, Rufus's cover of "All Across the Universe" is awesome off the I Am Sam soundtrack. Me and Rufus are on a first name basis now.

Styx-Mr. Roboto: Secret, secret, I got a secret.

Ahh, yes. Good song. Got it on my playlist (or at least, I did very recently). Funky lyrics.

"Machines to save, our liiiiiiiiives...
...machines, dehumaniiiiiiiize."

That song always makes me think of the hilarious VW ad from a few years back.

Now With Moveable Parts
